Does the New Wedding Dress Dye Well?

Answer: No, not really.

I KNOW that this is a wedding dress, and should be white. But I love the design, and was hoping it would at least dye well. I really wanted a rich red or gold dress for my character. But, every color seems to turn into a really faded out, de-colored version of the dye. I did find one dye that I dont mind on it, which was the Blademaster's Mauve. But as you can see the color even then is very washed out. Although the one thing... the ONE thing I am most upset by... is the fact the shoes do not dye, and stay a blinding white. I do like the dress still, and will be having it on my toon. But I am disappointed in how the dress looks with other colors.

Why do eso dresses always have studs and gemstones right on the bosom area like that? It almost feels like a joke.

If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed at all. :D But if the dress is white, then it's not so noticeable...

I've noticed it immediately (on the screenshot above) and found it funny that outfits get designed like that, while at the same time, writing out the normal names of some parts of the body triggers the auto-censor word filter because these words are too much for the adult playerbase to endure or something.

There is another dress from the past that I think is already purple as its base color(?) which has a similar design... philosophy.

Another expensive costume dress that does not have a quality that matches the price. Looks even worse when dyed, making the supposed lace look like badly painted on in flat colour. Which has then been bedazzled in some odd places.

Also how many extreme cleavage dress costumes do we need? There's no masculine costume to match with it either, just a memento in the bundle.

I was sad as someone who mostly plays male characters to see the ancient wedding suit on sale next to the shiny new wedding dress lol.

I think that dampened colour looks really nice on the dress.
But it would be nice to choose between colour schemes, such as bright, muted or metallic so people can decide which way they prefer it.

I was looking for this topic, thanks OP!

Too bad about the dyes, and especially about the shoes.

You'd think that's how dyes would work since they certainly seem like they should based on the categories and thumbnails. But the dev team here has never been very good/consistent at getting the underlying image a nice true greyscale.

I thought it dyed well. I do wish the shoes matched the main colour but I like that it's not overly metallic when dyed. All the dresses being metallic when dyed drives me nuts

A bit late with my feedback, but maintenance is the perfect time :D

I agree that there needs to be more dye channels, so that every part of this dress could be dyed, including those gems.
Design is nice, but it didn't work out when I previewed it on my girls. There was only one time I kind of regretted skipping it - when I saw someone's character:

Vampire look on stage 4 never gets old for my taste, I really love it in combo with this dress - no dyes needed

And the most clever coloring I've seen so far:

I had to take a second look to make sure that this is not some new topless outfit style I somehow missed!
