Has anyone gotten a Mara's Parcel from a treasure chest?

According to the article:

Being in a group with one or more other players counts, as does having a Companion summoned. The tasks that award parcels are:
Defeating a delve boss.

Defeating a world boss.

Defeating an Infinite Archive boss.

A chance for a parcel when you complete an Incursion, such as a Dark Anchor or Abyssal Geyser.

Looting a treasure chest.

A small chance for a parcel when you harvest resource nodes.

Pickpocketing an NPC.

So the article says that if you loot a treasure chest while grouped, you should get a parcel. Notably, it also does not specify the "a chance" qualifier like it does for a couple of the other sources.

I have now looted 11 treasure chests in trials (so I'm obviously grouped with many other players) and have gotten ZERO parcels. Is this working as intended? @ZOS_Kevin

Pretty sure it says buried treasure chest. Have gotten from treasure map chests but not regular. In game it says from buried treasure chests*

Based on PTS it's only treasure map chests. (Which I learned after looting like 30 of the regular kind and not getting anything.)

Yes, I have, from a Grahtwood treasure map, the one that spawns north of the Gil-Var-Delle wayshrine.

However, not from other containers that are usually considered 'treasure chests': safeboxes and 'regular' treasure chests.

I have not tried (also considered 'treasure chests' as far as endeavours are concerned): Incursion final chests, thieves troves.

IIRC (could be mistaken) but quite often when they say Treasure Chests, the mean Overland (including safe boxes0. Keep in mind too, that the parcels are on a cooldown timer. So if you recently got a parcel from a Boss, then the chests might not drop them. Likely to prevent Craglong box farming. Pick Pocketing doesn't say specify 'chance' either. But I found that I only got them eveery 5 mins or so. And I believe one of them was from a Safebox.

Well, if it's indeed treasure maps and not treasure chests in general, then the article needs to be updated to reflect that. @ZOS_Kevin

Just did like 7 treasure maps, got the box from the first one and the fifth one. So I don't get how it works, is there a cooldown or a chance to drop.

I have opened up over 100 chests Overland and have gotten no parcel at all this sucks it says looting treasure chest aren't those treasure chests as

Same with delve bosses. I've got the special box with the event tickets, subsequent kills seem random as to whether a standard box drops or not.

yes boxes have 5 min cooldown

Not the ones acquired through pickpocketing though.

Those have no cooldown.

Downside, you cannot launder the merits.

I can report that so far I've opened four treasure map chests, with at least five minutes in between each one, and got a purple box from all four. So pacing yourself seems to be the way to go with those.

That's been my experience, too. Every treasure map chest I opened had a purple box in it. I didn't make particular note of the time in between, but I was on a leisurely tour of the countryside as I dug up the chests.

From the event description: "During the event period, you can earn Mara’s Parcels in several ways, but primarily by completing adventuring tasks with friends. Being in a group with one or more other players counts, as does having a Companion summoned"

So it sure looks like you need to have a companion out if you're running solo.

I did have a companion out. Like LootAllTheStuff said, that or being grouped with another player are mentioned in the article as requirements to get the boxes.

Overland chests got me nothing (and I've found 15+ yesterday), but several treasure map chests all dropped event boxes for me.

Indeed, but I've found it makes no difference with overland treasure chests, I still haven't had a box from them with or without a companion.
