No because Alliance rank is the only meaningful progression system in Cyrodiil. Additionally, it would be weird to be able to earn rank in Ebonheart Pact while playing Daggerfall Covenant.

I don't know if this is a possible solution, and it costs a lot of crowns, so it's a kinda *** solution at best. But in case it might actually be helpful; could you pay to alliance change the character with the highest rank to buy a number of the furniture you want from the other alliances, stash them, and then change back.

I think we've lost plenty of character identity. I think this would be awful for the pvp community as well, so please do not make pvp rank account wide.

You earned them for AD, not the other alliances. It makes sense you can't get the others until you have.

Honestly this is such a confusing suggestion. i did not ask for advice, especially not advice to spend crowns.

i just voted Yes on this forum poll for a specific reason.
i do not enjoy PvP enough to rank up multiple characters.

Yes, and alliance-wide alliance ranks would be a great compromise between the two sides.

As for the people saying this would ruin your reasoning to play PvP... does that not feel bad that your only reason for playing PvP is for an alliance rank? I'm sure they could give you other reasons to play PvP if they took the time to give you reasons, but the rank should not be your biggest/best incentive to continue playing it.

I do enjoy PvP but getting characters through the Alliance rank is a motivation towards a goal. Granting that rank to a new toon automatically would be like taking a character from the creation tool and pushing them from level 1 to whatever max cp that player has on other character. What would be the point of playing?

Also, no to same alliance. All my PvP toons are in the same alliance.

I don't even play PvP (because whatever the game, I don't believe in competition, if games are a way to undirectly elevate our minds, well cooperation is the way), but I get the mechanics behind Cyrodiil and PvP in TESO.

If Alliance rank would be account-wide, let's say that your your current alliance is being beaten by the other two in a non-Alliance-locked Cyrodiil, well, you just switch sides and that's it, you're in the winning army since you have a high Alliance rank anyway, and let's roll to emperorship.
I may be wrong but for me it would only result in enforcing the domination of those who already dominate the leaderboards in Cyrodiil without having to struggle on their way to the top with secondary characters.

There's a reason we start from zero everytime we create a new character.

I mean, it's not my only reason to PVP personally. I just enjoy Cyrodiil in general and will often play on a character that's done ranking. But I do find it satisfying to 5 star individual characters instead of having my ranks handed to me the moment I log into a fresh EP character. Some people like collecting stars. Why is their way of playing less valid than yours? They like what they like, and it provides a sense of progression. Do we need more in pvp? Absolutely. But making ranks account wide would definitely nerf enjoyment for some players who like the grind and what it ultimately represents, which is their time investment in PVP.
