I completely agree with you, however the fact that most players have reached level 50 on multiple different characters pushes people toward the “no” button. ZOS should have done this years ago, before people invested so much effort.

The main issue I am addressing in this post is about people being forced of changing class due to heavy nerfs. I still remember two years ago when the blastbone that was left after the stalking blastbone’s removal and that it was not hitting hard enough to take people’s health below 50% health and unable to use the execution skills forced me into changing class made very disappointed And I bet that other people had the same sort of issue with their class that forced them into another class and having a lower rank as a result is not a nice feeling.

Mid-Year Mayhem AP boosting has made Alliance Rank lose all of it’s meaning, I’d say just make it AWA for convenience.

I'm not a fans of the idea that my AD and DC characters would end up wearing my EP's stars. I'd only be ok with this if the ranks were locked to the alliance they were earned on. Even so, I'd rather not have it be account wide at all.

While I'd most likely say no, could a yes be on the condition that the 3 alliances are separate? Rank only account wide for that alliance, so you still need to rank up all 3 to be max on all toons?

This. I actually find it fun to rank different builds independently.

I am currently getting my sorc up from 3 stars to 5. I already have one Grand Overlord so being handed the rest to her would be a disincentive to keep playing in Cyrodiil.

Please yes. I'd like to get Legate's Black without being stuck to one character—I just prefer playing different builds and classes than sticking to one.

I think this should only apply if the other characters are also the same alliance. This should also just give those other characters the skill points we get from doing the alliance ranks. I'd much prefer the grind to be lessened in this game wherever I can get it, because there is SO MUCH to do grind-wise.

As for the people saying this would ruin your reasoning to play PvP... does that not feel bad that your only reason for playing PvP is for an alliance rank? I'm sure they could give you other reasons to play PvP if they took the time to give you reasons, but the rank should not be your biggest/best incentive to continue playing it.

Probably not going to happen because alliance war progression is tied to so many skill points. But if it would happen, I hope not account wide, per se, but account wide for that alliance -- that way if you level up AD, all your AD characters share the progression, but you would have to level up DC and EP characters separately. But then it would become a question what happens when you use alliance swap token -- does your character get the rank of what your current rank is for that alliance, or will that alliance rank gain your character's level?

NO WAY!

There are 50 skill points gained by leveling a toon to GO in Cyrodiil. No way would it make sense to take the ability to earn those points on every toon should be taken away.
