Im really sorry but new weapon stances are crazy, especialy for resto staff and lightning staff. Whats happening with legs here? And the back looks weird. Right arm?

    There's more issues, quite a few abilities aren't transitioning right into each other or bar swapping correctly with jittering and unnatural twitching and limbs behaving not right. Lower body movements changed quite a lot usually, not matching the speed or not giving correct limb behaviour overall. @ZOS_Kevin
    It was reported on PTS since September, nothing was done essentially.

    It has always been like this. It's probably meant to emulate the fact that one can not stand perfectly stock still, certainly not for any period of time.

    Not sure if it is related but I play immersive first-person and, since the update, when I cast my spam scribed skill, it puts me out into third-person to show the casting, which is really jarring. It only seems to happen with the Elemental explosion skill.

    I think a lot of us are genuinely curious and concerned about the PTS feedback not being actioned here. I'm not trying to be adversarial here, but why wasn't the PTS feedback actioned? To me, it makes more sense to fix things before they're live than after. Just from my experience. Can you please get us an answer on that?

    There are major issues with 2h and DW base animations (stance, light and heavy attacks and transitions) and skill lines but it extends to class/non class skills also, not all of them luckily but quite a few depending on how picky you are.

    ZOS don't take PTS feedback unless you are a known "content creator".

    What a great time to take a break... thank you to the patient few who continue to alpha test this 18 year old game. I expect more and I suppose that's on me, but nearly 2 decades of developement time would make you think things like this shouldn't happen anymore.

    ZOS don't take PTS feedback unless you are a known "content creator".

    Epic is a "known" creator that not only left a detailed comment covering all the problems, he made an edited video with side by side comparisons. It did jack, all they took from his comments was "polymorphs are showing the old animations" and "playstation controllers have double input again, causing crashing."

    The only reason this made it to live was because U48 PTS had near 0 participation, the negative feedback may have appeared as a vocal minority vs the usual 30-50 page threads arguing about some controversial changes that did get walked back like some of U35 and cast times for shields.

    Basically, you want change, you need to yell loud enough while the change is relevant or look forward to waiting years on any amount of progress while ZOS moves on to the next project they'll manage to only develop 80% of.

    I didn't have problems with stances/light attack animations before, and I do not have problems with those now. I only really noticed Restoration staff stance change personally :blush:

    I am still testing lot of subclassing combos, and I've decided to turn my Warden healer into tank. So I logged in with him to transfer healer gear to bank, and then I saw his epic new stance:

    Kevin if they listened to the PTS they wouldn’t have to “look into it” because they showed with video evidence that the animations were causing issues and shouldn’t go live but here we are yet again with another change that players not only did not want but showed was detrimental. What is going on over at ZOS/Micorsoft?.

    why have a pts if no feedback is ever looked at until after implementation and everyone complains...this just continues to deteriorate zos reputation

    Honestly, the PTS feels like a waste of resources on ZOS’s end and a waste of time for players at this point. If feedback is going to be ignored and broken features are pushed through anyway, why even ask for feedback? What’s the point of a test server if our input only matters when it happens to align with what’s already planned?

    You guys wanted this animation change for reasons that, of course, remain a mystery thanks to the usual stellar communication. If there’s an actual a good reason we have no clue. You asked for feedback, everyone testing said it was broken and should be delayed/rolled back, and now here we are, playing with broken animation changes that we never asked for.

    If the older consoles are struggling with the game, why not make this change only for those devices? Or at the very least, give everyone a setting to stick with the original animations — after all, they’re still in the game, still usable on polymorphs.

    Animations are client-sided, so the servers are not affected by it. Make these changes a video options on the settings. Soooo many ways to get around it and we always pick the route that leaves everyone frustrated.

    I've been staring at my screen for 10 minutes, thinking, "Something has changed in the characters' poses, but I can't figure out what."

    Love the subtle attention to details in the rework: bare hand transitional idle is a bow stance, chefkiss.

    I've personally wanted additional weapon stances for years, but the issue is that they shouldn't overwrote what already exists in the game. I truly believe the combat stances and animations need a refresh, but more in terms of character customizations that you can select like a recall animation or personality change. Overwriting the existing animations and ignoring feedback from the PTS about them causing issues is NOT what I want to see
