For a little added context, while drop rates are something we can generally adjust via hotfixes, there are a limited number of hotfixes we can push between incremental patches and updates, and each in-game adjustment counts towards that limit.”

Seriously? You really expect people to believe you can’t make changes to a game you are in complete control of? I guess some people might believe that lie.😂😂😂😂😂

It’s funny how every time ZOS feels like the rewards are too good for us in an event, they shut the game down and perform an immediate emergency maintenance. When the rewards are complete garbage though, we’ve just gotta live with it and there’s nothing they can do about it. My daughter was better at lying when she was two years old.🤦‍♂️

They can't change what's in the coffers because THAT'S NOT HOW CODING THIS GAME WORKS. I explained this already. They can literally only hotfix boss loot drop percentages. What is in the boxes is SET. They are BUILT INTO THE GAME THAT WAY. It would require NEW code and an UPDATE to give better box stuff.

Yeah, it's disappointing, they had time to fix it during PTS, if they'd listened, but they didn't, and now it's too late because it's live.

Edit to add: I do not work for ZoS, I am not a coder, I just know this about this game. And if you've read ANY of my posts you know I'm not exactly "team ZoS" right now...

Yeah, you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about and it shows. Maybe leave this conversation for the adults in the room.

I get that we're both on the same side of the issue here, but I just feel I have to bring your attention to her post. It states that loot boxes CAN be fixed via a hot fix. Can be fixed. Just that they won't because they "only are allowed a certain number of hot fixes between incremental patches"
Now I think this is baloney. But we should be calling out their statements, not what we think. If Zos felt we were getting too many rewards, they would do as many hot fixes as they want to fix it, just not when the issue is going against us.

As a player of ESO for many years, this is actually the first time I have been disappointed (borderline irritated) by an event.

Not because of the repetitive dailies, or even the drop rates (terrible though they are), but because this was marketed as a huge deal, something ZOS have never done before. This was the 'big thing', an 'I was there' moment.

But it isn't - it's pretty much the same thing we've been doing for years, but with what seems to be slightly lower drop rates, tied to an arbitrary progression bar that has to eventually reach 100%, regardless of my actions because I've already paid for it. Maybe the next phases will be better, and truly 'new' but so far I'm not convinced. I really hope I'm proved wrong,

Ever since they adjusted the meter for the wall event, pc na is only getting 6% a day. And now we have the witches festival too, slowing progress even further. At this rate, we won't get to the other half of the chapter until dec. This is one of the most boring events I've seen in 11 years, and we still have 2 more phases to go. I'd just like to play the content that I paid for and not have it locked behind an event that is trickling forward. With how this chapter was released, this is going to be my last chapter here after playing since Day 1.
