    Question: Is there somewhere to see which style pages are all available during this event? And which ones I am missing? (During normal events I can check the impressario and see exactly which style pages drop and which ones I am missing.)

    PS: Please force vitrified soul drops! Yesterday I spent over 90 minutes trying to gather 15, and I kill really fast! Eventually I got to 10/15 and gave up. Wasted my entire playtime for the day, without anything to show for it and gained lots of frustration.

    One thing I still don't understand: at the beginning of the year, with the introduction of the Seasons Pass, we were assured that it wouldn't be "seasonal content" like in other games and that everything would stay the same at the end. But that's not true at all if the Writhing Fortress doesn't stay in the end...?!

    Almost like how they advertised the portal skill for the arcanist class before it came out! Good old fashioned lies!

    Yes, I'm really enjoying the event so far, except for the drop rate on the things we have to hunt for, as most particularly the poor vitrified souls drop rate can get frustrating for me too and quite time consuming.

    Hi everyone! We are creating a thread to consolidate official messaging about the Writhing Wall event. This thread will be your one-stop shop for updates and info related to the event. We do have a known issues thread and hotfix notes, but we will link them here as well.

    We want to thank everyone for sharing feedback about this event and raising any issues you’ve encountered. We have hotfixed several event-related issues this week, which you can view here. We are also tracking known issues here and updating the list with the latest statuses.

    We have seen some questions about where to find quest mobs and drops for the Writhing Wall event as well, so we wanted to provide some clarification and a little more info.

    When you pick up one of the Writhing Wall collection quest dailies, you may see some quest zone indicators appear on the map. These are only suggestions, and not an indication of the only places where the event qualifying quest mobs appear. Writhing Wall quest mobs appear in many places within the corresponding zones, including outside of the quest zone indicator circles.

    Below is a general break-down of the mob types that drop each Writhing Wall collection quest item. Any mob of the type listed should drop the corresponding item.
    • Creature Fat drops from Guar, Kagouti, Trolls, and Alit in any Ebonheart Pact zone.
    • Lightweight Furs drop from furred creatures in any Aldmeri Dominion zone. This includes senches, wolves, bats, and mammoths.
    • Undead Essences drop from undead creatures in any Daggerfall Covenant zone. This includes skeletons, zombies, vampires, liches, and bloodfiends.
    • Golden Sap drops from plant and water creatures in any zone. This includes Lurchers, Spriggans, Spriggan Beasts, Nereids, and Stranglers.
    • Vitrified Souls drop in any zone and Dark Anchors from the following creatures: Clannfear, Coldharbour Watchers, Coldharbour Flame Atronachs, Harvesters, Xivkyn, Xivilai, Grievous Twilight, Coldharbour Scamps, Dremora, Coldharbour Voidmothers, Coldharbour Shades, Shackled Titans, Death Hounds, Daedroth, Winged Twilights, Ogrim, Armored Ogrim, and Worm Cultists
    Thank you!

    ~~~~
    Jessica, thank you so much for compiling this very helpful list! I'm sure it will help me enjoy the event even more! :-)
    I feel like the devs are always afraid of being generous with rewards, maybe as to not mess with the economy too much, but you'd think they would have found a viable solution rn with bound rewards or things that people value beyond selling.
    I just played through today's event content again... And honestly, the main problem is that you can't really do much if you want to stay reasonable.
    It doesn't matter that there are, what, 24 event daily quests altogether? And that you could run dolmens endlessly; If just nothing useful drops, except for from the first 3 boxes. Even if I wanted to finish my collections - I'm still missing 13 Haj Mota parts or so, 3 Wormwrithe style pages, 10 Stirk Fellowship pages, I think - why would I continue questing if they won't drop anyway?
    The only thing I could still hunt for after I've farmed 3 boxes a day would be furnishing dropping from event bosses... Which in practice means standing around at a boss in some dungeon, doing nothing most of the time, and whacking it down every 5 minutes when it respawns. And it might take over half an hour of wait until some furnishing drops - I even waited longer yesterday, and in the end I only got one event furnishing: a scroll. How is that fun?
    I haven't tracked the gold, but I don't think it's much. The experience isn't too bad.
    My fully leveled crafters are getting 181 gold, and 6.2K XP per Writhing Wall crafting writ. In comparison, they get ~800 gold and 800-900 XP for daily crafting writs. No green Inspiration Boost CP.
    My brand new toon, no CP, no crafting points assigned, gets 96 gold, 1.5K XP from the Writhing Wall crafting writs.
    Took my level 10 to Bruma in Cyro. Had the needed drops in 5 minutes as nearly every Dremora drops the souls.
    For me, the event is just not enjoyable and engaging. The drop rate is a factor but more important is that the initial Solstice area was very light on quest content, took nowhere near as long to complete as previous new zones and then this event is just boring to grind. On top of that the GP rewards as far as pet and mount are not even ones I want in my collection much less actually use.
    I am finding the WoW Legion Remix event and the new zone added in New World far more enjoyable than grinding this event and as a result I pretty much wasted my money on this season. I will not make that mistake with the next season, I fell for the marketing. I will not do that again. Once in a lifetime experience, but not in a good way.
    It's not a great look when you create this huge event, hype it all over the place, then have a limited number of quests to complete progress in the event, and each quest can only be completed in very limited areas, with very limited creatures to kill, which have very low drop rates, and very slow respawn timers. This is even more frustrating when coupled with the fact that anyone without the season pass HAS to complete 20 of each type of quest to complete the golden pursuits this time around. I don't know WHAT you were thinking (were you thinking?), but this is, like, 1990s level incompetence. I thought planning for these types of events had progressed beyond the "Evercamp" era. I hope the level of frustration I feel right now is coming thru loud and clear, because I am extremely frustrated after checking EVERY possible place to collect the fat, killing only a handful of mobs that the dozens of other players in the area hadn't already killed, and not getting a SINGLE PIECE OF FAT. Please do better.
    Vitrified soul drops must still be bugged. If I kill 20 enemies and none of them drop any souls and only 2 drop gold, which is much worse than overland drops normally are, something can't be correct. It's like the soul drops are just missing.
    Another rather funny bug is that the Meridian Lens - the thing that we're supposed to improve by collecting souls - doesn't get progressed with finishing quests, but the stages are inverted. For every soul quest we finish, the whole things get more and more deconstructed :D
    It's interesting that someone mentioned this yeah, I have also noticed that at times when the event items are not dropping for me, the expected normal overland drops seem to be significantly reduced as well.
    There is other wonky stuff going on with the drops - once I am able to get a vitrified soul (or one of the other quest items) to drop, I can reliably get one to drop from the next creature I kill, even if it is of the "wrong" type. For example, after killing a troll and getting a creature fat, I obtained creature fat from a worm cultist. Similarly, after killing an invaded delve boss and getting a vitrified soul to drop, I was able to obtain one from a dwemer colossus. This doesn't work every time, but I've found it's somewhat repeatable, as if the loot table is getting "copied" over to the next kill or something. I have experienced rather strange behavior around these drops in general.
    Another bug: The lorebook/letter in part 6 of the main questline (that's the new story quest that was released now during the event) is not interactable. I know this bug had been reported on PTS, and was fixed at some point I think, but now on live it's bugged again. What a pity.
    ...and it's not possible to finish this quest either. It just moves to another stage clled "Support the Camp" at the end, and it doesn't seem there's anything to progress it. So no rewards, and another quest clogging the quest log (same problem as with Skordo's "Support the Fellowship" quest).
    The style item for the Fellowship of Stirk crafting style is the Brooch of Fellowship style material. It does not guarantee a motif page.
    Thanks for clarifying :) Not sure why they made such a big deal about it in the announcement then - it's hardly a 'gold tier' reward... Also, if it's "guaranteed" I should have 12 of the things, not 8.
    If it wasn't for the GP and Twitch drops, this would be the stingiest event ever.
    (I feel a bit like John Cleese in Life of Brian saying that. "APART from the $20 horse, the $7 Mastiff pet, the Crown Crate, the 15000 gold, the Dremnaken pet and the exclusive Bear-Lizard mount, what has the Writhing Wall Event ever done for us?") :p
    It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...
    Helms for the Headstrong is still broken. I’m disappointed that something so basic made it on to live in a broken state, and I get reminded every time I turn in the other five crafting quests and have to skip that one.
    What's wrong with it? On PC the items get auto crafted if you have the Lazy Writ Crafter add-on, and I've done it multiple times on multiple characters.
    I was going to ask if you'd checked what level of metal it asks for, but you obviously have if you can do the Axe crafting quest.
    At 6/10 Blacksmithing, it asks for both two and three Calcinium helms. Yet Lazy Writ Crafter actually makes 3 daggers to satisfy this version of the quest.
    While we're at bugs: The story quest also has an optional stage telling us to meet with Mirmal at the lens and talk to him. He doesn't show up there, so that dialogue bit is missing.
    Also, the German translation has some text problems. The Camp's wayshrine name is untranslated, and there are several weird interpunctuation marks in different event-related quest achievements (both listed under the main game achievements / Season of the Worm Cult as wall as in the "Writhing Wall" achievement menu beneath the Golden Pursuits) that don't belong there (seems like there was some placeholder text before and it wasn't correctly overwritten).
    With the ones I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure if I ever came across this amount of bugs in an ESO event before, sadly.
    I just played some of it today, I think it's pretty neat. BUT OHMUHGOSH was there a tad noticible lag with having a LOT of playing smashing the living daylights out of everything that dropped at those dolment camp sitees.     Feedback: if it’s a once in a lifetime, historic event, it should feel like a once in a lifetime, historic event. It should feel unique. This feels reused and redone. If you are saving the dev’s bandwidth this year to improve gameplay and long overdue fixes, great, but sadly, this writhing wall thing is just tired and, even with the fix, the amount of effort to progress ratio is not realistic. I actually loved the whole concept—you have great idea here. I wanted more stories and ways to interact with the base game NPCs and a way to move on from the main original story, and Solstice and the reactivated Worm Cult is a fabulous premise. The first installment was great. The Writhing Wall event is just a real let down.
    Yeah, not for nothing, but the drop rates on the Nurwalne repeatables (especially Tamrielic Golden Sap) are still way too low and need a massive increase, preferably to 100% while in possession of that quest.
    The reward boxes that make least sense to me are the purple boxes for the crafting quests. At most, you get 2 stacks with 10 pieces each of the material you just wasted used - while crafting 3 items for the quest might have cost you 39 pieces. Sometimes luck is even worse and you don't get 20 pieces of that material, but only 20 pieces of the corresponding raw material, which means 2 pieces after refining it. In any way, you lose material in the process. How is that a reward?
    they do drop other things, it's just an absurdly low drop rate. i've gotten a couple patterns, one of the gold style pages and a purple vendor trash item from the crafting boxes.
    I think they can also drop other crafting-related rewards, such as style materials, survey reports, and crafting motif pages-- in short, anything the golden crafting coffers can drop during the event, but at a much lower chance.
    Well, the drop rate is the problem. Why would I spend about 200 mats on 6 of these quests per day, get back 120 at most (or, if absurdly unlucky, only 12), for a chance I might get 1 style page? And I've read several posts on this forum that some people did the maximum of 6 crafting quests on several days and they got no extra drops in those boxes at all. With these drop rates, it feels like a waste of time and material.
    This is why I use three "mule" characters that are level 50, but no skill points spent in the three crafting trees used by this event. This is so everything is level one crafting mats that not only I have a ton of, but also use less mats overall for level one gear as compare to level 150 gear.
    if it helps at all, you can pick what quest you want to do for him. i don't know about your server, but mine, ruby ash lumber isn't worth listing on the trader. i vendor it when it clutters up my inventory. but if we're being perfectly honest, rubedite and ruby hide are about the same. i vendor those also.
    anywho... you can pick which quest he gives you. i found this out on accident the first day. i didn't realize i needed to keep talking to him forever (another annoyance with these quests). he told me to make bows and i ran off to make bows and realized as i was running away that he still had the blue V over his head. so i came back and he wanted me to make arm cops. if you want to make bows and he gives you something else to do, just tell him goodbye. you don't even have to accept and abandon the quest like in cyro. just say goodbye before you even accept it
