Are Vitrified Souls drop rate working as intended?

This whole event was so boring and i didnt get anything useful in the boxes either. With this progress, the wall will come down in late december...

Are the roles for loot (such as vitrified souls) based on damage done? Or do some of the mobs at siege camps still not drop any? Or both? Results so far (even after the latest fix) are confusing. Sometimes doing more damage at camps seems to help, other times not.

Sometimes I can loot a ton of bodies at siege camps and sometimes not a single one, even if I do all of the damage to a specific enemy. I can’t seem to find any logic to it. So while some people say “just do the siege camps and you’ll get the vitrified souls”, it seems to be yet another case of rng.

I found Siege Camps to be an unreliable source of souls.

Find yourself a farming spot if there's Wormcult there's usually Daedra too!

Coldharbour is fairly good but can be busy, my spot is somewhere else completely!

I hit Siluum this evening and was averaging about 1 in 5 dropping vitrified souls. I was often getting 2 at a time, but that may be a side effect of loot CP buffs? It did seem as if certain enemy classes were more likely to drop souls than others, but it was a relatively small sample so who knows.
