@Horace-Wimp Just queue for IC, port there when prompted, use exit door and you will appear in the same sport you were when you ported to Cyro.

Hooey I say!! I know bunches of players who are huge into housing, and are also interested in PvP. Interest in one does not exclude interest in the other. Why should PvP players not have furnishing rewards?
There's zero reason a furnishing can't require a bit of risk to acquire. Whether that takes form in PvE or PvP doesn't matter. ESO is an MMORPG. Not a worry free virtual tourist attraction like Second Life. That would be boring.
[edit] Besides which.. the Master Fisher achievement required Cyrodiil fishing. Yet you managed to accomplish that one.
the risk to aquire is gold
dont know how much you have, but as far as i know, people doning pvp dont have much gold, as i aredy mentioned, got housing you need gold. besides of an eso plus.
That's not really true though.
IC is one of the best places to make gold through Tel Var.

Brother I get it. You want the boat. I do too but I don't like fishing. So take the fishing out of housing. Do you see where this leads. You want the thing, you need to do the activity that gets you thing. I wanted the veteran hard mode sunspire dragon statues for a build. Yes I do housing, though you assumed I didn't. Those statues require you to beat those dragons on hard mode. So guess what I had to do to get them. Hard mode sunspire. I'm a fairly ok vet trial dps and a pretty mid tank, depending on the trial. But hard mode is newer to my group. It took us a couple trial nights to get it.
The point being there's cool housing stuff locked behind many aspects of the game. That's by design. It gets you to try new things IF you want the shiny. I mean I guess they could take the housing out of trials, pvp, scrying, plans out of urns and backpacks, no more pickpocketing furnishings or plans. No more world drops. Just put every plan on the crown store. Then it could just be tied to your wallet. The way we have it now, while frustrating, is better.

But if you want the achievement, you could
1. Build yourself a Cyrodiil Angler - https://eso-pvp-builds.com/cyrodiil-angler (due to where some rare fishing holes are, AD would be easiest, EP almost as easy)
The point of this build is to stay alive. Enemy comes, you buff, you heal and most importantly, you block. Enemies will try to kill you for a while, then they get bored and move on. You make yourself as annoying to kill as possible.
2. Try to go to an empty campaign, or a very busy campaign.
Empty campaign and you are less likely to come across with anyone. The downside is that if you do come across with an enemy, they are likely bored and killing someone who is fishing is more interesting than doing nothing. In a very busy campaign everyone is engaged in a battle, defending or attacking, and likely have no time for searching for fishers.
3. Fish during off-peak hours. Probably no one in Cyro then.
4. Deposit your telvars in the bank when you are in IC.
5. If a group roams one area of IC, go to another area. If they go around the IC, switch to a different campaign.
6. Switch between campaigns using the Cyro-IC trick. As in, if you are in Cyro, queue to IC, then queue to a different Cyro campaign. Or vice versa.
All these tips amount to overkill. Cyrodiil was the first zone I completed with fishing and I was also doing the dark anchors at the same time. Had combat only 4 times. Twice during dark anchors, one legitimate attack on me while fishing, and another was a sorc whose pets attacked me. And even then I waited for the sorc to put the pets away, and when he didn't I attacked the pets until he put them away. Then we fished side by side for a while. So basically just one actual, real attack when I was fishing.
Dying to a player is nothing more than a slight inconvenience that you have to travel to the fishing hole again. Even your gear doesn't take damage.
Frankly, I fail to see what the problem is. You're not forced to PvP to get the IC fish, you just need to accept that another player might defeat you. Then you respawn and go fishing again.
Carry no tel var. Ignore pvpers. If anyone defeats you, stay cool like it doesn't affect you at all. That's all. That's how I did the achiv and if I had to repeat it, I would have done it in exactly the same way.
I went with my full PvE gear which isn't focused on mitigation / defenses at all. It was early afternoon here in the EU so there were some ppl playing already. I got one-shot a few times by some sorc but otherwise nobody bothered me. Sorc in question was just doing what the zone is intended for, without going out of their way to make it impossible for me to fish.
At that time, I was already playing PvP. I had a PvP setup, I just didn't bother using it. Why would I? Fishing already takes sooo long without a fight at each fishing hole. I just wanted to get done with it, and in my mind fighting for a fishing hole would not only add a lot of extra unnecessary time, but also, a fishing hole isn't exactly the kind of PvP objective that I consider worthy of fighting for.
PvP is already a tiny part of ESO, and there are already too few cool rewards tied to it. Please stop asking for removing the little that there is of an actual nice reward from PvP.

at first i want to correct a typing error "and i just want that the devs do something for people who dont want to do pve" should be pvp instead of pve.
im a sister and no ja'khajiit anymorei dont mind about fishing as others do. but fishing requires some skills like patience, but it doesnt require pvp. yes by design and i understand that ZOS wants to make money, but why do they annoy people in that way? im not interested in playing tribute, so i dont do these achievements. the boat from kynes aegis ive got, and i buy at crown network housing items for gold. i dont mind to check urns or do dailies, got 91% of furnishing plans and bought a plan for 10 mio also. i dont mind about farming for furnishing mats. fishing there are 2 pvp zones out of 44 if i counted right, are the 5% necessary? if it would be the half or more id say i dont need it

You understand the game isn't about you and what you want, right? There are millions of other people playing this game, many of who play and enjoy PvP. It's frustrating that some content is a reward for activities you don't want to do but no offense, it's fishing. Many, many other achievements with desirable rewards are locked behind difficult PvE content a lot of people don't want to do; that's why carries exist. Pay a small PvP group to escort you for your fishing? Take the advice of the people in this thread, since fishing in PvP zones is usually pretty easy?
I should start a thread about making trial mounts available for tel var since I'm personally not interested in doing trials and don't want to waste my time slogging through robot mechanics and overstimulating arcanist/templar laser show.

I agree with your take on doing non-fighting tasks in PvP zones. If the fights were one-on-one or if the fights were balanced, it would not be as serious. But groups get bonuses for being grouped /guild so one soul running alone trying to do non-PvP activities in those areas are subject to becoming kill-fodder for groups or over-powered attackers. There are dungeons, treasures, and quests inside the PvP zone that are not really PvP related.

An immunity flag would just clog the server with PvE players though. You do see the problem with that right?
If IC only allows 50 players per faction, and 25 of those players are flagged as immune to PvP, they're just clogging up the server for those that would actually want to PvP.

Groups do not get bonuses for being grouped in IC. In fact, IC specifically incentivises you to not be in a group, or at least have as few members in your group as possible, since any Tel Var earned gets split amongst your group.

though i level up sharp-as night to get the keepsake, im afraid that im the most time resurrecting somewhere. ok, ill get up in the night, my time 2 or 3 o clock, fishing in cyro was hard enough, but i have to go to the IC with champion points active.
or take the IC master angler out of this achievement. im not interested in PVP.
people who are interested in housing need at first eso-plus, furnishing plans and mats and gold to buy them.
ive seen now, the plan for the tide born sculpture coral is available for 1,4 millions. i dont know how much gold youve got, i can buy that plan easily but i dont want to support this. im occupied with get gold, get plans and get mats. thats exhausting enough. and also to get the achievements in PVE, to buy furniture.
thats why.
and believe me: its easier farming mats in PVE zones
Funny, I needed IC to get Commemorative Angler so I went there yesterday to fish. It was about 3 a.m. Eastern so it was pretty empty except for this one guy. There I was, peacefully minding my own business, and an EP player (Im DC) comes by and mercs me. He was a NB, I never saw him coming. And he kept doing it every twenty minutes or so for the entire time I was there. So you know what I did? I respawned and kept fishing. While most would agree what that guy did was kinda of a **** move that's the price of doing business in a PvP zone. Got IC Angler in about two hours with an Arteum Pickled Fish Bowl running. Going in in the off hours is a great idea and you can knock it out quick despite some ******* killing you every 20 minutes 😊
Not an option for people with jobs and family obligations.

There's no fishing in Battlegrounds because it's a temporary world with all players sharing the same goal. IC and Cyrodiil are full, permanently available zones with players of varying goals can interact. Everyone should be trying to capture the relic, for example, in BG. But someone in IC might be doing the quest while another hunts down sweepers and yet another lurks in the shadows to relieve the other two of their tel-var. All would be valid objectives.
ETA
If someone wanting a reward is forcing them to do stuff, the every reward in the game including all the ones you like are forcing someone to do something they don't want to do. I hate collecting surveys? Should surveys be removed from the game? Many PvP players hate PvE. Should PvE activities no longer drop leads?
There is no such thing as universally beloved activity. The devs don't go for 100% love because that is not achievable. Instead they try to make all content as fun and rewarding for players who enjoy that type of content as possible. This means sometimes you'll want a reward from content you don't particularly enjoy. You just need to skip the prize or do the content. You're not being forced or punished by not receiving the reward for completing a task that you were unwilling to do.
