is it possible to establish a "leave me alone" mode for people, who arent interested in PVP but have to go to cyro or the IC, example because of fishing, or do scouting quests during midyear mayhem, just for the event tickets?
I mean a mode where you cant attack other players or NPc's (in the IC i dont need to collect tel var stones, but fishing :D) and you cant be attacked by other players or NPC's?

This has been discussed ad nauseum.
Cyro is a PvP zone. A leave-me-alone mode would defeat that design. Not even mentioning the possibilities to exploit such a mode for scouting and other stuff.
If you need to doi your stuff in Cyro, do it in an emtpy campaign at off-hours and you will be fine. I picked up every sky shard in Cyro and did not get killed once in the process.
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

I mean couldn't I just as easily ask for a special trial mode where the monsters can't attack me, because you know... I "have to" complete all the trials but I'm not interested in learning mechs or finding a group?

But realistically, if one wants to obtain all the rewards and achievements in a big mmo with many different aspects, one should expect to have to participate at some level in all aspects of the game. I doubt they'll be doing this.

The best thing if one doesn't want to pvp is to try going at a quiet time, use stealth where possible and go about one's business taking care not to approach or attack other players, and with the knowledge and expectation that it's possible that another player might attack and thwart your progress, which might necessitate trying again later or on a different server. Other than some wasted time and frustration, nothing "bad" comes from getting killed like this. It's just another part of the game.

I personally found trying to complete flawless conqueror (back in the day before we all got power-crept lol) to be *much* more frustrating and rage-inducing than trying to get my cryo fishing or mayhem event tickets or what have you.

ive got the master angler already, but for the other achievement, the Commemorative Master Angler (argonian house boat, housing) i need the IC, there are only a few fishing spots there.
though i level up sharp-as night to get the keepsake, im afraid that im the most time resurrecting somewhere. ok, ill get up in the night, my time 2 or 3 o clock, fishing in cyro was hard enough, but i have to go to the IC with champion points active.
or take the IC master angler out of this achievement. im not interested in PVP.
people who are interested in housing need at first eso-plus, furnishing plans and mats and gold to buy them.
ive seen now, the plan for the tide born sculpture coral is available for 1,4 millions. i dont know how much gold youve got, i can buy that plan easily but i dont want to support this. im occupied with get gold, get plans and get mats. thats exhausting enough. and also to get the achievements in PVE, to buy furniture.
    thats why.

and believe me: its easier farming mats in PVE zones

and also for the events: it would be, think so, easy to give poeople the tickets for the event but no ap or anything else, if you use that mode.
its just a matter of definition.

I don't pvp really and I support a new version of an updated imperial city post plane meld, post 3 banners war as a dlc zone for sure. Leaving the pvp IC of course. But to ask to go into a pvp only zone, and be immune to pvp is hubris. If they wanna fish in a pve zone they might get attacked by mobs. You wanna fish there? You see where I'm going?

the master angler ive got a few, 8 years ago, the other zones are no problem, if you consider the time youre investing, but IC is a problem. cause i dont want to invest my time in resurrecting somewhere and go back to the fishing spot and resurrect somewhere and so on.

As I understand it, killing people who are fishing is frowned upon, it’s easy to find a place where no one exists in Cyrodiil (not near any building), and the best strategy for MYM is do stock up on quest completions BEFORE the event. Never had trouble with MYM doing that. It’s an active warzone, the fear of dying is part of the territory.

i dont mind to run dungeons for leads.
its simply: a pvp setup is different from a pve setup.

ive got friends in pve and pvp, and i support them, if its gold or mats, but i dont want to ask my pvp friendes to escort me when im fishing, i hope, someone posted here, that pvp people leave you alone if you are fishing.
its simple, you get attacked by players just if you want to reach a fishing spot.

thats why i say: do something, or take them out from the housing achievements.

Hooey I say!! I know bunches of players who are huge into housing, and are also interested in PvP. Interest in one does not exclude interest in the other. Why should PvP players not have furnishing rewards?

There's zero reason a furnishing can't require a bit of risk to acquire. Whether that takes form in PvE or PvP doesn't matter. ESO is an MMORPG. Not a worry free virtual tourist attraction like Second Life. That would be boring.

I slot the "Surrender" and "Bow Flourish" emotes when fishing in IC/Cyr. When someone approaches, I use surrender, then block. If they pass me by, or fish with me, I use the bow emote.

I get passed by/ignored about 50% of the time. If your RNG isn't horrible (which, granted, sometimes it is) It doesn't take *that* long to get the achievements with the CP in.

Just set the mental switch to PvP/might get killed. And make sure you're not carrying any tel var, and put on a podcast (or your distraction of choice).

If you support your friends, they should support you too. That's what friends are for, among other things.

Maybe one of your friends also needs fishing in IC and would be happy to join you in this endeavor? Also, special fish bite faster when there are more players using the same fishing spot.

That may be true for you but it's not true for everyone. There are plenty of PvP players that enjoy housing and want to furnish their house with things they earned doing the activity they enjoy too.

There's housing stuff in all the activities so that all activities are fun and rewarding.

Just go to the no-cp IC when there's not an event and nobody will bother you, especially if you also off peak. Even if they do, they'll kill you once, see you ain't got Tel Var and leave you alone after that.

I have done the fishing achievement both in Cyro and IC on 3 accounts so far.

Cyro is mostly empty space. Which is... kinda sad? but I digress, it is not impossible to stumble upon that one player that is hellbent on you not getting the achievement, they do exist; there is a small chance that you may need to reschedule because saltwater holes are few if that's the case, but on balance of probability the most likely outcome is that no matter how excruciatingly bad your RNG is with trophy fish you will see no one, interact with no one, it will be just you and the three fishing holes until it is done.

IC... is weird. I find that the 'this is a PvP enabled zone and so help me Z'en PvP will happen no matter what' kind of player is more common there; still, you die, you find another hole, now a bunch of random players from the other alliances appear out of thin air and join you, meanwhile a bunch of people right above you are contesting the banner and give zero ***** about the people fishing.

Is a weird place however nothing is lost on death - if you carry no tel var that is - other than time. If you are fishing in IC you've got plenty of time.

a simple thing, you dont get furniture plans in pvp, and you dont get enough gold to buy mat,

If you hate the possibility of PvP just don't do that. It's not worth your time and nerves. But that not a solo game so removing something you do not enjoy from the achievement would affect literally every other player. My IC angler was quite a fun time personally and made me some stories to share later with guildies etc. unlike Cyro where I've met zero resistance or any engagement.

Also every "DND mode" player would take a spot in Cyro's population count which is highly limited currently and each of those would have an obvious effect on alliance balance overall. Can already imagine some 20-30 people guild going for a skyshard run occupying literally half the alliance's spots leaving pvpers outside whilst keeps getting flipped.
