Get rid of 4v4, servers 0 purpose the way it´s created to be "competitive" (it´s as far away from competitive as it gets) and replace it with a 4v4v4 deathmatch only where you can queue as either solo or duo (aka mixed queue). 8v8 stays and become solo queue only and random mode.

The important thing is to not have a queue for "everything" since the queues would become astronomically long.

OTHER:
Delete all current BGs from the game. Make open lobbies of up to 30 players on a rotation of small, condensed maps and give everyone a choice of game type (deathmatch, ctf, etc).

I always leveled my characters juat playing U50 BGs. 4v4v4 was really fun, especially the little game modes there, capture the flag, crazy king and my favourite the one where you steal relics of the other team, and can develop a strategy to keep relic in a certain position so that you push other team to lose their relic as well by pushing. There it wasnt also mattered if your team was good or bad, it was fun for everyone since 2nd team would get the prices and you could easily carry your team in the huge maps they had before by playing correct. And the old maps were really fantastic and were open for a lot of strategic play. There was something everyone can enjoy in those BGs.

I am having really hard time understanding the decision behind the need for a change in BGs and why the community isnt protesting the new BGs, a 4v4 deathmatch in a small map, where you either destroy your opponent or get destroyed, everyone stacking to each other mashing buttons. At the end what are the odds of the game will be even? If one team starts to get kills, it will instantly demolish the whole motivation of the opponent and make it even worse for the losing team. Looks like people dont mind the change, but the old ones were so much fun play, i miss the gameplay there. At least would be better to keep U50 BGs as how it was, since old BGs were also much easier to compete for the new players. At the very least for the single/duo queues.

My experience in them has been almost the same regardless of which version I play.

I've never seen a balanced 2 team BG. Never.

Bring back the 4v4v4 bgs. The Storm Lords shall rise again!


Also it'd be great if we can make our own custom matches with friends, guildmates, and through the group finder.

I don’t think it matters either way until something is done about the current state of balance and combat. People won’t want to enter any PvP area, whether BGs, Cyrodiil, or IC if the actual experience of fighting other players isn’t fun (which it’s currently not).

I don’t even think that the new BGs are poorly designed. The real issues come from the fact that the power gap is too wide and not enough players are queuing. As a result matches are lopsided because there’s not enough people in the MMR brackets to put players of the same ranking together. Also the power gap is so wide now that one properly built player can farm an entire team that’s less prepared.

Investing in new PvP systems, changes, or additions is such a waste if they continue to ignore long standing balance issues, cause almost no one wants anything to do with PvP atm.

I liked the 3 team BGs more but I’m not a frequent player. This way both can exist.

It would also be interesting to have a Vengeance type BG test. It would make the contest more even.

I miss old bg map,but not 4v4v4 mode ,the old map so big and beautiful

Delete the new system. The pre u28 system was best imo. Another alternative could be to simply get rid of solo queue all together.
Example could be;
4v4
8v8
4v4v4
All group queue’s, encourages more team play, less fragmentation, and players will get better as they will have to face duos as a solo player or even premades. That’s how it was before and the average player was significantly better overall.

Zos removing options is why there are so many threads complaining about, well, zos removing options.

Big no to this idea.

Alright, I changed my mind : I now recognize that players who like 2 team bgs somehow do exist so instead of deleting the new ones, I'm now more in favor of having multiple queues. If some people enjoy the new bgs, then let them play 8v8 but if others want to play 4v4v4, then IMO they shouldn't have to wait for an event to play it

We were told in the announcement letter for u44 that 4v4v4 wouldn't disappear. U44 released 9 months ago.. @ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_BrianWheeler , can you give us any news ? What would it cost to allow people to choose between 2 teams and 3 teams ?

My largest problem with the current BGs is that I can't look at the HUD and tell who owns what, my colorblindness fails here spectacularly.

I've done enough games with three teams to experience plenty of times where the last place team was bullied by BOTH other teams, second place generally giving up on getting first. Not very fun.

Same for me. The players who miss 3-sided seem to do the "I only care about my personal KDA" or the "hooray 2nd place, daily rewards without having to play the game." Trying for the 1st place win was pointless even in Deathmatch.
