Performance Took a Very Sudden Nosedive

Today I found myself logging out at about 6:30 p.m. PST because the game became unplayable out of nowhere.

I was in Vengeance on PC NA with a friend and the game was working perfectly. Just before 6 p.m. PST, all of the sudden I couldn’t cast ults, I was rubberbanding, about half of my inputs were ignored completely, and if a skill did fire it was literally seconds later.

I’ve never seen such a sudden and severe performance drop like that before. It went from 100 to 0 in almost no time at all. It was very bizarre.

I know that it definitely wasn’t my connection because my friend experienced it too.

Performance was much better at about 11 p.m. even though Cyrodiil still had quite a few people in it.

I definitely think whatever happened at 6 p.m. PST in Vengeance should be investigated. It seemed worse than the usual population cap Cyrodiil lag. What happened?

Either they were performing a background test on something, or there was a DDoS that was quickly filtered out,.

I was getting this also in solstice just doing crafting writs. I ended up finally finishing and logged out after the fifth ping of 999+ and rubber banding like crazy.
This was pc na and around 3 or 4 pm est.

Performance on Xbox NA has been pretty good. The first night of Vengeance was flawless. Last night a little less so. I had a friend who kept getting disconnected, and I felt a couple of instances where the game stalled, only to rebound dramatically, but nowhere near as bad as Cyrodil's servers have been the past month or so before Vengeance.

I was in a trial between 8-9 pm and we had a member who was disconnected several times. Perhaps one of the links was being ddos'd.

Last wednesday maint is when performance took a nose dive for me.

Performance in vengeance this time around is pretty bad too. It's about the same as normal live Cyro and sometimes worse.

My experience as well. Got my golden pursuit done the first night so at least I don't have to go back. But it was painful to play in Cyro from 12pm CST to around 11pm CST. Odd, game reported perfect ping rate, FPS locked at 60FPS (vsync), yet lag, skills not firing, graphics stuttering. Much worse than normal live for me.

Last nite random latency everywhere even in PVP doing writs.

It wasn't just vengeance. I had similar experience in bgs during the same timeframe.

Same. My performance has been noticeably worse since last Wednesday. They did something June 25th maint that messed things up. And performance in vengeance this time is also notably worse and very noticeable. If performance is going to be this bad stripping down PvP to templates is a waste of time.

Since the non-patch maintenance (some days before Vengeance), I am kicked to login screen many times a day (usually during loading screens, sometimes just in overland)

Just now I got kicked to login screen with unknown error after completing daily quest...

Since these problems started, after completing basic daily stuff, these random logouts only remove my wish to log in again for casual exploration/time-wasting

But my subscription is also being partially wasted because of this
