I hope the mounts received actual swimming animations and won't just "run" through the water.

It looked like they do, like it kinda reared up a little to keep it's head above water.

While there are tons of stuff could work on, while this not being on the top of my gripes with eso is actually a great QOL.
So many times I'd get into those 10 hour "in combat" cause a mob shot me with a an arrow and then I accidently hit a puddle and now I have to run for 10 minutes till I'm out of combat, not getting dismounted while hitting a body of water is amazing.

Does not make much sense for some mounts to beable to swim though

    - Dwarven Mounts, Robots made of Solid Metal, they would sink like a stone.
    - Atronach Mounts, Water would probably kill them, not to mention they would lack buoyancy.
    - How is the stick mounts going to work?

What the hell!? Bro... They can’t even stop the server from sinking, that’s all it’s been doing lately. And you really believe they can make mounts swim? The whole game feels like it’s sinking to the bottom of the ocean, and our hope is... swimming mounts!?

I'm sure the people who are responsible for the server stability and those who are responsible for the implementation of new features are different people who have never even seen each other. Those who implement new features can't just sit around without doing their job and wait for the guys from the server department to fix things.

Swimming mounts is definitely something I want, it really sucks not having it right now.

You want swimming mounts, okay, but I think it would be better if we had stable servers and a balanced game first. I mean… maybe a playable game instead of swimming mounts? Yeah, that seems fair to me. I just want the game back!

I always found it annoying getting dismounted in a deeper puddle. This will be a nice QoL change.

Will all mounts be able to swim, or only those that (remotely) indicates some watery affinity?

I am looking forward to it as well, no longer will I have to leap over puddles because they might go past my horse's hoof! (you can never tell)

I like jumping while running through water on my mount, the joy of those splashes! I hope that it will be possible to jump while swimming on a mount too, for extra fun!

Currently, I love running through some places where water is deep enough to look as my mount is swimming :)

I'm pretty sure it will be, since he was jumping around in the water during the demo and even mentioned being able to mimic ornaugs jumping in the water.

Here are some screenshots of the livestream (including one that doesn't show jumping but just shows the mount and rider in water from the front):

I love that as well, and yes, I love the splashes :D I just sometimes misjudged exactly how deep the water was and my horse acted like a cat who got wet (not any of mine, they don't mind getting wet :P)

Yes, I always wondered about that. Gold Road is like that. Murkmire and Blackwood too I believe. Used to think it had something to do with Argonians...

I think it has to do with how tight they are inside. There are other wayshrines with roofs, but none so tight with the space I don't think.

I have noticed there are a couple of bridges and platforms that technically shouldn't dismount me when I go under them but do.

I noticed one in reapers march, where it looks just like an elevated platform, but I dismounted going under it.

It does get annoying when you are just trying to run through the area and don't realize it is there.

About time. I am so sick of getting dismouinted in ankle deep water. Now we need gliding, not flying, gliding, using an expandable one use glider made by the clothing profession. Like the Goblin Gliders in WoW.

My water horse is very grateful that it doesn’t dissolve into water now when I ride through it. However, it wants me to ask if now it can learn to run on top of the water like Elsa’s water horse can?
