I have reached out to customer service and they’ve informed me that they “are not aware of any bugs” and that they can’t make any changes to in-game items as that’s a different department.

What I’m looking to get some support from the community and attention drawn to is the crown gems awarded for a duplicate Radiant Apex Mount. Currently *most* crown crate duplicates are awarded at a 1:3 ratio or about 33% of the cost to purchase that item. Obviously that’s better than nothing, but still feels low for rare drop chances when you really want a specific mount such as a standard apex mount for 400 gems. I personally feel 50% to be a better ratio as if you get the “wrong” apex twice (which is no easy or cheap feat) then you should be able to get the one you do want. Regardless, I’m not seeking to change the 33% ratio even though I do feel it’s a little lower than I’d like… because I know the developers want the money and I’m happy to support a game I love to play. I’ve had games I was actively playing die before, and so I have no quarrels financially supporting my hobbies.

However, this is what I’d like attention brought to and a change made: Radiant apex mounts only award 132 gems if you get it as a duplicate. That’s a slap in the face when you’re so excited to finally get a huge pull. I know I won’t gain 100% sympathy because most people never have to worry about getting a single radiant apex let alone the same one twice, BUT should they magically make that happen… it should at least award 33% of the gems needed to buy it (and 50% would be more sweet ).

It takes roughly 200 of a given crate to get a radiant apex drop role. Given the best case scenario, that’s 8 packs of the 8,000 crown 25-crate bundle. That’s 64,000 crowns. That’s just over 3x $150 21,000 crown packs or $450. It’s not a free handout. It’s very hard and very rare to get a radiant apex mount. If you get a duplicate YOU should be awarded more than 132 gems that you get for other simple legendary level items.

I know… first world problems, but it can and will happen to at least a few players, and 132 gems is just kind of insulting for someone whose tried very hard to get a specific mount they really want.

I hope this doesn’t come off as ranting, because I really do believe it’s an important change that needs to be addressed; even if the frequency is a small occurrence.
