Wow. Sorry to have to correct you. It is only the CLIENT that runs on the local platform. The real system code, the stuff that is giving everyone fits in ESO, is independent of the Client code.

I have to agree with the OP here.
PC community is beta testing the game for consoles and paying to ZOS in the process.

So far we have:
-Far too many bugged quests that can block your progress if your unlucky
-Completely broken game economy due to early dupes and later rookie attempts to fix motif/boss farming
-Completely broken skill lines(Vamp, WW) and one broken class(NB)
-Loading screen on death
-Lag for all EU players, as "EU server" is located in Texas
-Abysmal customer support

Is it worth subscription at this stage? No.
I suggest looking game called Defiance. ZOS is repeating exactly the same mistakes by using the PC community as testers for consoles. 3 months from release Defiance was in 5€ discount bin.

in the forums maybe. The type of people that come here are those that know about games, and those so mad with the game that they happen to find this place. It's a good sign. This means my suspicion that these issues were affecting the minority of players, is backed by evidence...at least enough to make it a hypothesis

I am NOT saying that it is time to suspend MY subscription.

I am saying that it is time for Z/B to TEMPORARILY suspend charging subscription fees until the game is solid.

Big difference.

At the end of beta we were having parties in the fountains and absolutely begging ZOS to let us keep playing it bugs and all. We would have been happy to begin paying for a sub at that time. There were threads about it on the beta board. We expected bugs, particularly for the first 90 days. Pro'lly the only thing we didn't foresee was all of the gold spammers. I am just happy to be able to pay for a 6 month sub and continue to have fun in Tamriel.

FFXIV only released their playstation version like a month ago. That shows you it was almost a year before a console got it.

So no they wouldn't suspend the game until then. But they should of done what FFXIV did. They made the game for a PC UI, then adapted a console. It made much better interface and better options, and won't be limited one day when PS4 is a relic and holds back ESO.

But oh well, I want rank 10, and finish storyline then I can quit.

Oh, can you please list your executive marketing experience for the gaming industry that you are drawing this great knowledge from?

I honestly think if you're going to make a suggestion on how someone should run their business you at least provide a resume of your professional career, other then long time gamer.

BTW you subjective reasoning on suspending the subscription model doesn't justify what your suggesting. Maybe if you call CSR with your specific problems, and they find that yes, your experience is severely hampered from the inability to play/enjoy the game you'll get some freebies.

@TheYancey Yes, I was/am still excited about the game. But, in many ways, releasing it 4/4 was probably not the best of decisions. We will see what the subscription level is for the PC version in a few months. And if Z/B decision to keep charging subs during that time will pan out.

Please remove that "all" assumption there, I play on an EU server and don't have any lags.

For me the game is perfectly playable. Yes they need to add multi core support, maybe a 64 bit client and I really want housing, but in the end the game still runs a lot better and more stable than any MMO that I played since WoW release.
Unless there was an Asian Grinder that I missed which had 0 bugs and 0 downtimes, ESO is one of the best MMO releases up to date since many years.

I am sorry for those with problems, but if I can play fine, if hundred of thousands can, then maybe blaming the game is not always the answer.

Ok, here is a little bit of it:

* 27 years in Semiconductor Software development
* I am named on 7 patents for User Interface design (before all the garbage patent stuff)
* Have worked from programmer up to Senior Project Manager for software development
* Have developed both pure software system and hardware control systems.

So, yeah. I know about software development from proposal through release and installation.

This is the best game ever played and i ve seen and played a lot MMOs or not!

I can tolerate bugs(its a new game i have seen worst) i could even tolerate looting potatoes and onions from wardrobes and garlic from trunks etc....

I can not tolerate LAG which especially in Veteran levels makes this game simply unplayable....Its realy frustrating getting killed by craps...i mean crabs.... just because the "magic button" doesnt respond

Sorry but i agree...they shouldnt release the game without having the infrastructure to host so many gamers and particularly in EU
