While doing Tanlorin quest I noticed that Wisteria might have been a way cooler companion. At least I'm finding Wisteria more appealing than Tanlorin. Her voice acting and accent is much better and she's a really good-looking character. Feels like a missed opportunity here. It would have been great if we could choose between both characters. What do you think?

I can only speak for the translation I play, but I'd also say that language-wise, all female companions so far seem rather young; some less extreme than others, but they're all definitively on the young-ish side. I mean, they are young, so it's not unfitting, but something else would be nice nonetheless. We've already gotten two old men as companions now (Zerith is supposed to be old), a bit more variety when it comes to female characters certainly wouldn't be wrong.

She constitutes a large chunk of the only PvE content in the second half of the year and people had to pay an extra fee for her. Naturally there is some bitterness. If she’d come with a new zone or something there would be less of it, because there would be other things to talk about and people would’ve gotten more for their money even if they weren’t keen on her specifically. As-is it’s like getting half a sandwich when you’re used to getting a pizza and the sandwich is moldy.
