You have to be precise about the male Altmer or you'll get a bald and chronically drunk one

Okay, I want a young, handsome, scholary male altmer with long hair, who has a shy, but kind personality. Did I forget anything?Oh, who drinks tea! Not alcohol!

Nah, sounds about fine. And if not an Altmer, I'd be fine with a Dunmer, too.

I want more companions, but I also want the underlying systems improved; ZOS missed a trick by not putting a few of the requested companion improvements alongside the new paid companions.
This poll is an example of the backlash against paying for more companions without improving the underlying system. If new companions were "sold" with the implication that player's investment would further develop the companion system as a whole, it would have met with widespread approval, even by those who don't want companions, as they won't invest time or money in them.
Players complain about monetisation in this game, so not offering a quid pro quo, something for something, when selling something previously free, is a pointlessly missed opportunity for Zos who probably do have plans for the companion system.
