Shadowy Disguise is overloaded and needs readjustment

Skill is probably overloaded but I prefer 100% going against a NB than against a DK/Arcanist that crutch on their oveloaded defence making the game boring as hell.

Also I don't see a lot of them compared to the other two I mentioned, if class is so overloaded why then?

just for clarity, I use all class in rotation in PvP so I'm not here defending NBs, just curious.

NB currently has access to both Major + Minor Expedition and a 4s snare cleanse/immunity that gives a free dodge roll every few seconds.

    [...]

You only get the free dodge after taking 10 direct hit so effectively you never get it for free

Well no - direct AoE damage counts towards the proc. You can't dodge direct AoE damage. The free dodge roll is a free dodge roll no matter how you slice it.

Take it off and you will notice the hit on your stam sustain.

To be fair not using this ability vs using it is really not that big change is sustain. Plenty of dodge based nightblades is not using phantasmal escape because well fitted+medium armor does good enough job.

Yea but the problem arises when a heavy armor NB in 6 impen/reinforced and Rally Cry can still roll dodge for free every 5 seconds lol.

Like we all know a NB in heavy and zero well fitted shouldnt be able to have free dodge rolls, but they can because Phantasmal Escape

It is really still not a problem tbh.

But it is. There is supposed to be tradeoffs for going heavy armor, which is increased dodge roll cost. Any class that tries to roll dodge too much in heavy armor will notice a huge stam drain. You don’t have this problem with NB because of this ability.

Someone, ;) , made sure that every possible NB scenario was covered, even if not used much.

Dodge roll cost reduction is one example, a complete heal not affected by battle spirit is another.

Edit after reading PTS notes, more NB buffs. Now they get a combo version of Dark Deal/Crit Surge....trade 4000 health for 2000 mag/stam and passive heals once per second ON EITHER BAR with no conditions other than doing damage. Every 10s the ability is free. You can't make this stuff up.
Leeching Strikes (morph): This morph now increases the passive healing done to 1800 Health. Whenever the heal activates, it reduces the cost of your next Leeching Strikes cast by 10%, stacking up to 10 times. The cost reduction lasts until consumed, your character dies, or you rezone.

By pressing 1 button, you get:
    - 6s of Major Resolve on a build with zero heavy armor, or 13s of Major Resolve on a build with 5 heavy armor
    - 3s of invisibility
    - 100% crit chance for the next direct damage attack used within 3s
    - 300 WD/SD from stage 2 Vampire passive

You also get Major Savagery/Prophecy if you slot it on either bar.

This is the most overloaded ability in the game right now. You are getting 2 forms of damage mitigation and 3 forms of damage amplifier for the cost of 4k magicka. I can't think of another ability of the same caliber.

Shadowy Disguise needs to be adjusted by either removing the 100% crit chance, Major Savagery, or have its invisibility reworked.

NB has the worst self healing(in a regular builds, of course NB healer is extremely goood but you can't slot more than 2 healing abilities in a regular build) and worst defence among all classes but has good mobility? Yep let's butcher that mobility by removing invisibility. Did I get your point right?

This change will ruin the most popular pvp class and *** off a large group of people in a 10 year old game.

Even if this was the right move, simply pissing off that many people is a bad move, bad idea.

This ruins the night blade class. I personally have only played as a night blade for the past 7 years of my life. If you nerf that, I'll cut my losses and uninstall your game.

I promise you will lose me as a player.

So your goal is to be the one single nightblade left? That's great bud, you can be our last nightblade.

Congratulations to everyone not playing a nightblade.

Nerfs are a bad business decision. No nerf ever attracted a new player, but nerfing definitely causes people to quit.

It's simply a very bad idea to nerf that many people. People don't like being nerfed and this nerf goes so far as to ruin the class.

There are just as many people disliking Cloak. The class isn't "ruined" by Cloak nerf. Only your specific gank build relying on Cloak as its sole defense got nerfed.

Yes, NB is the most popular pvp class and needed a nerf after many many buffs in the last 6-7 updates.

I would understand posts/reactions like yours if they would disable the ability to get invisibility on demand at all.
But they only change it. They don't delete it.
So in the end it will be something you can adapte if you want.

I'm not even sure that this is a big nerf to every NB - some will be buffed (mostly PvE-ppl I guess) and for the others it will be almost "only" a sustain issue after adapting.
Maybe they will change the cost a bit in week 2 or 3 and NB will maybe still remain "the most popular pvp class"?
Even if they drop from 26-28% towards 22%, but for sure IncultaWolf will not be the last NB.

Sorc nerf should be a bit bigger (7-8% or 10% but scale with health) to get them from ~24% towards 20% too and one patch later (unfortunatelly not in the same patch) they should try to get DK/Temp from 10-14% up in the 20% direction.
Necro still needs the most buffs.

Nobody likes nerfs - but the gaps between the classes are to big and that's not good too....

He has been a long time khajiit nightblade, a very powerful one at that with high damage and the ability to strike from the shadows 🔪

Not at all. I’ve run into @IncultaWolf many times in BGs. He regularly score top kills on his NB. He definitely has experience on the class.
