No one does it in PvE.

    I was teabagged in PvE.

I stepped out of Ravenhurst one day and a couple of guys were dueling in front of the house. I decided to play the grumpy old lady and said "You kids get out of my yard!". They just laughed and continued. I emoted /playdead to pretend like they had accidentally hit me and one of them came over and teabagged me. I just got up and went back in the house.

Were you offended? Cause that just sounds funny.

I was in a VCR +2 last night. I found time to teabag at least two of my mates

They auto-ban people for crown sales and it takes weeks to get a live person to restore the account.

They don’t have the ability to micro-manage every tea-bag report.

If you are that easily offended by it, play PvE exclusively or maybe ToT as your PvP experience. Just like in the real world, you can’t expect a powerful entity to enforce safe spaces 24/7.

Honestly I don't get what the big deal is. Teabagging has been a thing in gaming longer than ESO has been around. It's practically a tradition in any game that has PVP. If you get triggered by it, then its probably best you avoid situations where you could possibly get teabagged (mainly PVP).

Most people I know who play PVP understand that if you die in PVP, there is a pretty good chance you are going to get bagged. I, myself, have been the target of a teabagging campaign, and I understand that the more you let it get to you, the more people are going to do it. So I just quit letting it get to me.

So honestly, the best way to deal with it is to just not let it bother you. Seriously, its just pixels on a screen doing a couple of squats. There's lots of things more horrifying in the world than that.

The argument is a very bad one. If there are many things in the world more horrifying than this, it doesn't mean that in the virtual world you shouldn't pay attention to it, and besides, if it's pixels, why play games if it's just pixels, why pay attention to what is written on forums if it's just pixels (rhetorical question)?

    Greetings,

We have gone ahead and closed this thread as it derailed with baiting and non-constructive commentary. Please remember that while it’s alright to disagree or even debate with each other, provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable on our forums.

Please keep an eye on this thread for an update from @ZOS_Kevin regarding teabagging.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Hi all. We wanted to address the recent conversations around teabagging and proper etiquette around the action in-game. In the past, we have noted that context matters when teabagging in-game and when responding to that action. Teabagging in-game is generally not a direct violation of ToS. However, when an impacted player asks you to stop and you refuse, that is when we have crossed into targeted harassment territory. If this happens and the impacted player reports the incident with video proof, then an investigation will open for ToS violations for targeted harassment. This can lead to possible suspension or permanent ban. So please take requests to stop seriously.

For those reporting a potential violation, please make sure you provide a video that makes it clear that you asked the user who teabagged you in-game to please stop the action and continued action after the ask.

We hope this clears things up for everyone, especially as we are going into Whitestrake's Mayhem. Again, we understand why some players choose to engage in teabagging. But we want to respect anyone's wishes who do not want to be subject to the in-game action of teabagging.
