A little pedantic don't you think? Especially when range in the game is a Non-factor with the plethora of cheap speed and gap closers available. Not to mention hybridization. Charging at someone and getting gunned down before you reach them is a learn 2 play issue not a range is too powerful issue. I have zero problems sticking to targets as melee, cause I slot major Expedition and a gap closer. I also know to retreat to LOS if a range gets the jump.

Even my mag sorc I'd say plays like a brawler. I'm shield stacking and streaking offensively if I'm actually in the fight. Why I've defended streak so many times other places when people cry about it. Magblade was only oppressive in the past because it didn't have to survive damage cause of being able to avoid it so well with shade and cloak to reset the fight and try the gank combo again. Take away that combo and I think there is plenty of counter play. Call it a skirmisher build if it makes you feel better, my point was that it would be susceptible to taking damage and counter play.

I think it's really funny how people on the forum like to act like no one else on the forum knows how to play the game they are posting on the forum about.

It doesn't matter if you're ranged blading, sorcing, bow wardening, beamplaring, etc. If you're standing like way away from the fight you are not brawling. You are just clicking into a crowd and occasionally reacting to people who decide to deal with you. It's okay for that easier approach to pvp to be weaker.

You pick and choose your fights just like any other class. Brawling term is used when your build can face tank and trade dmg. Brawling in ESO can be defined by more damage equals more defense. Nightblade is quite literally one of the only classes that has a non brawler option via cloak and shade. But people who don't want to play like rats, don't use cloak and shade.

So if a Nightblade doesnt use shadowy disguise and or Shadowy Image, 9 times out of 10 its a brawler.

Ranged brawler, absolutely makes sense. Swallow soul is a ranged spammable that adds healing. Pair that with dark cloak and you have one of the best brawling heal archetypes.

I mean, sure, you know how to play the game. No one said you don't. But rangeblade hasnt always been gank only. Nightblade hasnt always been gank only. Ganker's are just toxic ppl who wanna cheese their way to victory rather than have a challenging fight.

I'll also add. In pve the only time ranged nightblade is even halfway decent is in solo arenas. Everywhere else they are useless.

It truly is sad, to know all the post are pointless anyways. As nothing will be done to accomadate us Range blades. Seems like ppl would rather it dissappear than to be fixed. We'll just keep it uninstalled for now . Sadge

In a shooter maybe since everyone is ranged, but not in a sword game where melee is supposed to be powerful.

I am a ganker and a brawler. I am a ganker because I use stealth and have access to a front loaded burst combo with a stun. I am a brawler because I hit brawler defensive benchmarks that allow me to take some heat and sustain in fights while doing my thing close to the fight.

a "ranged brawler" Swallow-Soulblade at it's best will be a weaker version of the above concept, and at worst does not qualify as a brawler due to the lack of stat density and presence. There's already a very strong class for your preferred playstyle, it's called "Mag-Sorc". It's drawback is that it doesn't have the option to use cloak without the only real draw back to cloak, how janky it is in close quarters.

So, you are acknowledging, that because of the stat differences, and the way that the ranged part of the class is underperforming, the playstyle doesn't exist. Just play a different character?

Thanks for proving my point! Have a nice day.
