Jubilee Event: nothing special to do after hard grind for rare drops

So last night I finally got all the rare Bound Style Pages, and today I see there's really nothing special left to do in this event. Am I missing something?

There's no effort to get event tickets and, to me at least, there's no point in wasting time doing dailies all over the map when I can get 3 gift boxes every 5 minutes just by farming dolmens.

I wish they had made gift boxes to drop at harvesting nodes (all across Tamriel for the Jubilee) and double the resource yield like in previous events; we would have something different to do, quieter and less crowded at least.

Just saying.

The Jubilee event has always been about that: Get the tickets easy, then have fun with whatever you enjoy, almost everything gives you boxes, too. There's no real problem with that.

I do crafting writs on all characters as its an easy way to get boxes. Also do the crow quests on characters who done IC and you get the easy options, saved up the junk monster parts for this. Else I do other stuff to get them like dolmens or guild dailies to level companions.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Just play the game. Accumulate more boxes and fill out motifs. Chillax!

This is why RNG was a bad choice for a longer but limited time event. You have no idea how long it will take or if you'll end up being an outlier, so there's an incentive to grind everything out early rather than taking your time. Then if you're not an outlier you have nothing else to do.

They could've gone with fragments here, or maybe tied the drop rates into zone completion, or pretty much anything else honestly.

This. One of my favorite events, don't change anything. Don't add more grinds to it... just have fun and earn stuff. Its a nice change.

You missed my point. I'm already accumulating boxes, recipes, motifs, style pages, etc, just by farming dolmens. Doing daily quests for that is not very time-efficient if the whole point is accumulating as much stuff as you can. OTOH, if the point is just "playing the game", I do that everyday at my leisure.

My point is that, for a 10th anniversary event, there really is nothing special about it. No unique daily quest with a special unique reward like for example Turn the Page during the Secrets of The Telvanni event. That would have been fun.

Yes, I do that as well, on all of my two characters.

Also do the crow quests on characters who done IC and you get the easy options, saved up the junk monster parts for this.
Sorry, what are crow quests and what is IC?

...and that's why the pages should've been tradeable.

So people who are bored have an incentive to keep farming to get extras that they can sell.

And so that people who have limited time can buy those excess pages and enjoy the event without worrying about the stupid grind.

Idk, the boxes have some really great stuff in them. Just pulled a Minotaur Chests from one of them, and have pulled many expensive alchemy mats, potent nirncrack, and even Aetherial dust. Even if you don't sell those things it makes sense to stockpile them.

I doubt that Jubilee is meant to be the end-all, be-all for the anniversary celebration. From what I understand, they're going to be doing special things throughout the year--like how last month was Wrothgar related with them giving away the DLC and awarding costumes and a mount for doing the content.

For years Jubilee has been my favorite event because of the boxes and the chance to get motifs I would never otherwise find. I'm happy with it as is, and don't need it glammed up just because it's year ten.

my only disappointment with the event is the severe lack of event boxes from the archive

there is only 1 event box drop for the archive daily, but nothing in the archive itself, not even from tho'at (the "final boss" of the archive)

not like the rate to earn them there if you only got one from tho'ats would be that great compared to other methods

The crow quests are probably in reference to the quests handed out by crows in Clockwork City. IC is Imperial City.

The two zones have nothing to do with each other. Thus, IC might have been a typo in this particular case. But who knows for sure.

ZOS: *added event boxes to dailies years ago*
    Players: We need more.
ZOS: *added extra rare drop, added boxes to rare drop places, added free-to-play week*
Players: *grinding like crazy* The rates are unfair! Where is the drop?! It is broken! Fix!
    ZOS: *celebrating*
Players: *grinding for hours* Too many people here! Grind is boring! The worst event ever!
    ZOS: *keep celebrating*
Players: *grinding for days, struggle of million boxes* We got nothing! That should be tradeable! That should be made another way!
ZOS: *still celebrating, hoping that players have something to do for 2 more weeks*
Free-to-play week: *ends after 5 days of Annyversary*
Players: *immediately* We ended the grind! Why there is nothing to do in your Annyversary?! That should've been a celebration!

This is a strange complaint from my perspective. This event offers so many goodies.

You got the rare style pages! Congrats! That's an extremely hard grind and you got it done about 1/4 of the way into the event.

There are boxes to be farmed - motifs, mats, and recipes.

There's double XP to level any new characters you've been thinking about, to get CP, to level skills, or to get a companion to 20.

There's still a horse mount and event style to complete.

If none of this interests you, then maybe take a break or play something else for a while?

Like, I am getting tons of transmute stones and other stuff from Jubilee even if they do trickle in in small quantities. Jubilee is undoubtedly the best event of the year.

New Life Festival on the other hand is probably more deserving of criticism now as it is one of the largest events of the year, yet has become kind of pointless to grind. Last year New Life felt like it was missing a lot to keep players around, and there was far less community spirit than previous years. Everybody just logged on for tickets and logged out.

in my opinion, the absolute worst event to get boxes for is the jester festival

i opened one purple jester box and got gold, a purple dazzler, a green dazzler, and one of those useless consumables such as the pie

    literally nothing of value

new life festival is not far behind that though

Agreed. I almost named it since Jester's Festival is definitely the worst event in ESO, but I figured it was not as important as New Life since it's a relatively short event.

I mean... on one hand... getting some motifs and a lot of mats etc from crafting dailies is so great... on the other... this grind is real and then theres just on to the next grind. I get that's the essence of an MMO but for a 10 year celebratory event it's a bit lackluster for me personally.
