KiltMaster wrote: »It's more useful to ask - why do you want to go into Cyrodiil/Imperial City if you don't want to PVP?
To earn PVP-specific currency? That's a no from me.
To complete daily endeavors re: do x quests in x zone? I'm more-so ok with this ... again as long as you're not getting PVP specific rewards.
To complete, IDK, a PVP-based event? I don't know, I feel like that speaks for itself!
It's more so the whole I don't expect to have a PVP version of non-PVP events. I don't complain when the undaunted event comes up and I have to do dungeons/trials to get my rewards. Do the specific content to get the content-specific rewards.
Why do you always write "you" (also in your last post where you adressed me)? I have never written a single word in this thread about my opinion on Cyrodiil, all my posts were about me leaving town when dueling with a friend, so we don't disturb other players who dislike the flashy graphic effects.
I can tell you though what people want to do in a non-PvP version of Cyrodiil, as there have been many threads about this: They want to do non-PvP-activities that are possible there: Questing, fishing, even reading lorebooks. No event tickets, no PvP rewards/sets or whatever, no PvP currency.
I don't know how that would be a problem.

You can also be used in a plural sense - so folks on the side you're debating on behalf of, can take this as they will. I'll say 'yous guys' from now on if you're offended by my use of grammar

Thanks for assuming you know how I feel and what complaints I'll be making. But I'll actually be too busy participating in mayhem, something I rather enjoy every year (it's the one time I can find some people of my own ability-level to fight, who don't take things too seriously...), to be on here complaining. Totally agree with the overall sentiment though of "do the content to get the rewards from that content".
Still don't want open-world pvp in pve zones, which was the original idea of this thread.
On the other subject that's come up... I would certainly love to have a totally separate pve version of Cyro, like with none of the pvp rewards and normal overland questing and rewards. (Gold Road is coming, so that will probably be the closest thing we'll get). The reason being that it's one of my favorite parts of Tamriel and I'd love to explore and quest there. But that's a totally different thing, and I certainly would not advocate for a pve version of the current cyro or for pvp to be limited or taken away in any way.

I'm not offended. I just found it strange to ask me what I want in a PvE Cyrodiil or saying I don't want PvP in PvE zones when I haven't written that anywhere in this thread.

Hey, good on ya! But did you notice anywhere where I typed 'hey valenwood vegan - I'm talking specifically to you'
But hey if the shoe fits

Haha that's fair, but I certainly *was* one of the people who was upset about this thread :P But really was just trying to make a point that it's not all "us vs. them", at least not for all of us. One of the great things about this game is that it offers something for a lot of different types of players!

A PVE version of Cyrodiil should stop being pushed as well. We'll be getting a lot of that with Mayhem starting unfortunately.
Why kill a game that's already on the verge of death? The Elder Scrolls series is not meant to be a PvP game and should never become one.

I'd vote for players to enter cyro and ic with no-pvp flag. They can earn ap and stones at maybe half rate, and still able to farm gears. And some of them might eventually find pvp interesting.
We need to attract more players to pvp, not pushing them away.

No, ESO is not on the verge of death. Just like it wasn't last week, or last month, or last year. It's doing just fine.

According to steam charts
Jan 24 14k average players
Jan 23 16k average players
Jan 22 19k average players
Is this doing fine according to your parameters?
Yes, I know, lot of people don't play on steam, please do not look at pure numbers but look at trend.

the game isn't dying.
thousands of people play the game. events still often get lag due to how many people participate in events.
