Magplar - overland group content sets? Which ones?

Just wondering if there is anyone else with magplar build, just a need a bit of advice. What sets are decent to put together for overland/group content like trials/dungeons ect…? Look for sets that benefit aoe game for group content? I’m aware that siroria is good but obviously for single target. Currently use azure blight with overwhelming gear following a build but I feel I can find better sets and want something new. Currently following xynodes build but no set update

False gods and mothers still good together or not worth it now.

Deadly Strike, Jewelry + Guards and Jack.

Azureblight Reaper is very strong, but it has Stamina lines. Your choice, I guess.

Whorl of the Depth is a good backbar set in most static situations. A good Tank makes that set awesome. Same goes for Pillar of Nirn.

If you are SOLO Overland, don't worry about sets. Using the right abilities there is more important. Like Wall, Caltrops and Solar Barrage. And obviously no beam in such a scenario.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

I use Order's Wrath, Deadly, Slimecraw and Oakensoul and I love it!

With a tanky companion I never worry about waiting for help on pretty much any World Boss. 🙂
    When people say to me........

I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

Was thinking deadly on back and whorl of sorts on the front if that’s any good?

No. Whorl is a backbar set, Deadly Strike should be active at all times.

I like to backbar Dark Convergence. You can proc with Blazing Spear and works well with Puncturing Strikes. Bahsei's works well if you can manage it, but Deadly and Order's Wrath are fine set/forget sets.

The sets you use can vary widely depending on the type of content you're running.

If you're doing solo overland/quests, you won't need to worry about sets as much. Almost anything can work.

The sets you're running in group content will depend on the type of group content and the type of fight.

In trials, you have a group of 12 people and your penetration and sustain are often high enough that you can wear medium armor. Deadly is my usual go-to when starting to build a setup. If I want a "set and forget," I may default to deadly and Ansuul with the Velothi Ur-mage's amulet, maelstrom inferno back bar, and 1 piece light Slimecraw. Other sets mix in depending on the situation.

Azureblight is great in fights with lots of enemies close together, though it's generally better on an arcanist or DK. Sul-Xan is great if things are dying frequently so you can keep it going, usually trash fights but for some bosses as well. Relequen works well if you're really good with your light attack weaving to keep the stacks up. Pillar of Nirn is very good if you can proc it on cooldown reliably.

For light sets, whorl of the depths is good if enemies stand still long enough in the AOE. Burning spellweave can see use in trash pulls. Bahsei I'd use in Cloudrest, if at all. I'm really not about that mini game.

I don't run dungeons as much as I do trials, but penetration often becomes an issue because there's only 4 of you. If you don't have enough penetration to overcome enemy resistances, your damage will be lower. Sustain may also be an issue depending on the build. More light pieces are often needed. Again, if I'm looking for a "set and forget," I'll use order's wrath crafted in light along with deadly or a trial set for minor slayer. Otherwise, several of the sets used in trials can also be used in dungeons.
