Also wish the leveling up was faster. Don't get why they keep lowering the rapport needed, which was never difficult to get, but the xp they barely change. The only thing they did was change so you get more xp the higher rapport you have, which is a strange choice over just lowering the needed xp or increase xp gain. It's also again a pain in the butt with alts, in case you have an alt that works better for leveling companions with, because you need to go through quests to increase rapport.

I say Ember's quest is pretty short, else I agree that the two new ones takes quite some time. You can however combine this with the public dungeonSilverBride wrote: »phaneub17_ESO wrote: »...what if they added not two, but four companions for the 10th year?
Not unless they give us the option to have them unlock on all our characters after we've done it once.
The quests to unlock the Companions have gotten longer each time and I don't want to have to do this the 28 times it would take for my 7 characters.
This should already be an option anyway in my opinion.

Found that doing normal dragonstar solo or with an friend and companions, 3 arenas / level at the 17-20 level with event and +100% xp drink.Zodiarkslayer wrote: »NotaDaedraWorshipper wrote: »Yeah, companions really need a "skip quest" when talking to them at this point like tutorial. I disagree. Although the quests are too long to be enjoyable, they should not be skippable. You need some sort of system event for unlocking.
But the story of the (now) unlocking quests could have been split into a short unlock only quest and a second story quest.
That would solve so many problems.
On a side note ...
If you take the pressure out of your system, you can just wait until the next double XP event and grind Spellscar with the occasional Skyreach run in between. I had 9k - 11k companion XP per pull. That is less than ten pulls per lvl on average.
During Witches Festival I levelled four companions from ~ lvl 12/13 ish to lvl 20 on one morning of grinding (We had a public holiday where I live 😁 ).
Now I don't even know what to do with all those lv20 comps. 🤷♂️

Maybe an orc Necromancer.
I also would be fine with just two companions if they came with either the ability to customize them (within limits of course, such as Race/Sex/Class would be set, but you could customize hair, features etc...) or if they redid the companion system to make companions a bit 'smarter'.

Altmer have been the most neglected — no assistant, no houseguest, no companion. Give me Verandis and I shall be satisfied.

Isn’t the decon assistant, the Ragpicker, an altmer?

Lol, well..you're going to be disappointed. I'd say more but it's against the forum rules on datamining.
I think we will get an Altmer and an Orc, that would only leave Bosmer as the last playable race. I can see them leaving Bosmer for a Fallenesti chapter should we go there. For sure one of them will be a necromancer. I dont think we will be seeing repeating races, so they will probably then go onto non playable ones like Moarmer. What if we see companions with non-playable classes? we've seen enemies with martial arts skills for example. maybe if we ever get central elsweyr, we will see a companion that does Claw-Dances.

Well, if I like the character, I won’t mind. I mean, I never would have asked for a vampire Altmer until meeting Verandis and Fennorian, and Vastarie was one of my inspirations to make my first necromancer character.

A ghost companion, who you free from the delve they were killed in, so now they can resume their (after)life as an adventurer by following you.
A fabricant companion. I'm thinking each of the tribunal gives you an item, Sotha Sil's being a broken fabricant. The items from the others let you repair it and give it personality.
A dremora companion. You summon them, or find a cult summoning them. You try to stop the ritual, but are just too late, so now the dremora now serves you.
