With Update 40, what are you looking forward to the most?

During the stream I definitely saw leads dropping there and possibly a deck fragment. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the fragment.There's nothing there that really appeals to me, to be honest.
I'd hoped that the Endless Archive was going to be a dungeon that you could progress through with random generated rooms that went on.... endlessly. While they got the need for it to be solo or duo, and I'd have had no problem with a group option as well, it just comes across as another arena with waves that increase in difficulty to the point where you can't survive any more - which doesn't really make it endless in any meaningful sense. If there's reliance on it for certain gear, sets, furnishings, scrying leads and yet another currency then I'm increasingly put off it.

Nothing wrong with this at all.
They mentioned the following:
Old grains will be termed “ancient ___ grains”
And will be converted in a 1:1 ratio to the new platings. Old platings will be termed “ancient ___ platings” and will be converted in a 1:10 ratio (1 old plating = 10 new ones). So you just got yourself a TON of new platings.

I'm assuming this means the other amounts needed will also increase:
2 for green (up from 1)
3 for blue (up from 2)
4 for purple (up from 3)

It looks a lot more intricate than I thought, and the RNG element of the buffs will require a lot of 'on the fly' creative optimization, which I think will be fun. The rewards seem really cool as well, class sets, furnishings, even a mount... The next feature I'm excited about is the jewellery crafting because it means I can upgrade most of my alts with gold jewels and not skimp on their builds
The crafting stations are an absolutely amazing QoL upgrade, but I personally don't own a guild hall so it doesn't impact me, though I imagine the joy of all of those who do. The new grouping tool seems cool, especially because you can specify a lot of things, but I don't know how well it will go for vet trials, even though it will make recruitment easier than endlessly shouting in Craglorn, and also if it will be buggy etc., so waiting to see. The PTS is in a few days, but the first impression from the stream is that ZOS really listened to what the playerbase wanted and finally implemented it (I'd expect jewellery crafting to be part of the U39 QoL update, but then I think they wouldn't have a lot of things for U40, either way it was a feature that was a pain point for many players), so I'm very hopeful it will be an update that will infuse a lot of life back into the game. 1 -

Endless Archive is not something I want endless procedural dungeons are often repetitive and not at all fulfilling don't know why devs keep going back to it> Kind of like how no one likes tower defense, no one like proc dungeons. I'll begrudgingly do it to fill the sticker book and then never again, that's if I return to the game which is pending vet overland.1 -

I'm also really looking forward to the crafting station change because that means guild houses can finally decorate properly (if they want to) so a bunch of guild houses will probably look much cuter. For me personally, since I don't run a guild, I'm excited for the group finder

But mostly, my motivation is still tanked after ZOS turned my Nightblades into glowsticks, so I struggle looking forward to anything that doesn't include 'Removed permanent Grim Focus glow'.4 -

✭✭Jewelry Crafting changesI have earned millions with platings and good riddance for that. I'm all for JC getting more affordable.
Also waiting the fix for the Plentiful Harvest, currently 50% is 40%. I myself have done my jewelry crafting and other surveys with 40% change instead of waiting for the drop. (Just in unlikely case the fixed change happens to be 0% for survey nodes and 50% for normal nodes.)
The other updates are potentially nice depending how it works in practice. No strong opinions.0 -

I also am looking forward to the Grand Master Crafting stations, surprisingly. I never wanted to have all crafting tables at my house, but these new stations are bigger and much nicer looking. I might get them if you can still use them with only a few attunables fed into them.

Did I miss something that indicated you coulen't use the GMCS unless you already have all the stations available in the world?

✭✭✭The Endless ArchiveMost interested in the endless archive. Also interested to see if the Group Finder makes a difference at this point... it would have been so much better if it was released around U31 or so, though.
I am concerned that the station change will cause it so that there will be more clicks and overhead when going through master writs. I'm sure that ultimately this is a good change, but for some reason (nostalgia?) it seems sad to me.
Same with Jewelcrafting. Just don't see what the benefit is to changing it now, except to make it more like the other crafts. Which seems almost boring. I kind of liked that it was mostly acceptable to rock purple or blue jewelry and I feel like this might change that.0 -

transmute station is 1250. 1500 for a crafting table that swallows all crafting tables isnt bad. But yah ok you need 4 of them... Doesnt seem outlandish???0 -
