i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

They're removing grains and you will be getting platings instead (like temper or rosin). Though updating a ring will cost 8 instead of 3 gold platings.

currently it takes 4 platings if you have the passives to do gold (1x for green, 2x for blue, 3x for purple, and 4x for gold)
so all this change will do is standardize the costs with that of other crafts, and remove the grain nonsenseplays PC/NA

Unless I misheard, grains are going to convert to Platings and EXISTING Platings will become ‘Ancient Platings’ that will become multiple regular Platings.

✭The master crafting stations, jewelry crafting changes, and the group finder are the most solid things coming to the game; nothing to dislike about them.... but I also don't find them to be anything to get excited about. I actually found the whole stream to be very underwhelming and found it hard to keep my eyes open at times while watching it.
I do think the Endless Archive could be fun, seems like they're locking a lot of small content behind it (furniture, leads).... but I can already imagine my twilight matriarch getting absolutely wrecked by the mobs since she weirdly pulls aggro and having to constantly summon her is no fun.... so I'm sure the process of going through it will get annoying fast.
It also concerns me that they just brushed over the class sets and avoided properly showing them all.... meaning they probably know there are balance issues between the sets. I went back, slowed down the playback speed, and read them all.... some are significantly better than others, RIP sorcerer especially.... and obviously they wouldn't want to deal with any "knee jerk reactions".
Oh, and the sets look pretty bland. I would have expected them to be a bit more well designed to suit the classes.... but I'm used to seeing the WoW level of class sets so I guess I shouldn't nitpick.Edited by fizzylu on September 14, 2023 9:14PM3 -

✭Grand Master Crafting StationsI chose the Stations b/c I know most guildmasters would actually like to put a few decorations at the guild hall besides an endless sea of crafting tables, but as for the rest?
Jewelry change: It will be a buyer's market for awhile, sellers and farmers are going to make a LOT less gold, and it will take awhile for guild store bids to adjust for the radical change. This should've been done when Summerset released instead of creating a pillar of the economy just to destroy it later. Sometimes better late than never isn't the greatest outcome. Not for everyone, anyway.
Improved Group Finder: Now this qualifies for better late than never, but honestly, it is REALLY tardy showing up.
Endless Archive: Never liked arenas (in any game, not ESO's in particular), but the class sets are what concern me. As evidenced with the new CP system (Riding Speed and Fall Damage were reduced/increased only to build them back in with CP), when new power is given, old power is diminished to compensate, for we cannot have power creep!! So, for those not participating in this sweaty combat content rehash and acquiring the new gear, it is very likely you will notice a diminution of your current power. Alas, it is time for the Arcanist nerfhammer anyway, so it was expected. What percentage of the time will a Sorceror receive Templar sets? Lots more than their own, I'd wager.2
