Livestreamers and content creators did not create the game and they are not official employees of the company. They don't even own zenimax.
All they do is make videos about the game. That's it.

Honestly just waiting for skinnycheeks to quit now...
This guy is far from being a pillar of the PVE community... especially when he makes videos like this as he openly admits that he uses his guild as an end-game carrying service.https://youtu.be/AniNVUzSqOg?si=62QyGjl5Bo_AJxaC
I'm surprised to see that ZOS hasn't banned him yet for conducting this kind of practice...
And? Im not saying i agreed with him on everything but there is no doubt about what he has done for the community. All you gotta do is look at esou and what he did with the vitality project... smh
And carries- while personally don't condone them are not against TOS. Thats already been stated.
esou is a gorgeous-looking website, I give him credit for it.. but it doesn't excuse the fact that his guild charges people for carry runs.. which reflects poorly in the community. It's in an abysmal taste. I don't know how many times I've gone to Craglorn and had to report multiple people for spamming in zone about their fraudulent carrying service... selling vTrial skins and vDungeon skins/personalities and so forth. It should be against TOS.
people doing carry runs exist in every game, it's what some end-game people do to prevent themselves from getting bored. additionally, stats on eso-logs can help show whether a person earned a title or bought it, so it really only reflects poorly on the person who bought the carry rather than the group who carried them. It reflects poorly on the person who goes around showing off their pithkas, expecting to get into carry groups just because they have that title, but having no history of ever doing any runs on eso-logs. the carry community is also very small, so small that the majority of them are all in a chat together and the names of people who pay for carries are forever kept in logs on discord.
So yeah, it doesn't matter if someone walks around with a bought Godslayer until they try to brag about it, because they're easily outed as a Fraudslayer.

All the ‘who?’ posters etc are a precise example of what’s wrong with ESO’s community these days. It doesn’t sound naive, it sounds deliberately disrespectful. You may be some overland solo hero that’s never watched a nefas video in your life, but his scaling back on ESO should be a major red flag to all players and zos themselves.
Oh and it’s not just streams, he’s involved in the ESO-U website too, another very useful resource for information.
I think many of us that play endgame content in ESO are only still here because of our friends and our community. When zos keeps hurting this community, they’re ultimately hurting themselves and this game we all (used to) love.

Reading this thread, I once again see comments like "If it doesn't bother me, then it's not important at all". It such a disappointing stance for the community that presenting itself as being nice, friendly and understanding. Once again, I see that the whole ESOFAM is a simple facade. Thank you Nefas, you served a great job for the community.
I and many others don't play online games because of livestreamers. Instead we play online games because we enjoy them.
I discover many online games and figure out how to play those without the need for livestreamers and content creators.
It's more fun to play the game for your own enjoyment instead of watching a video of someone else playing.
Tbh, content creators and livestreamers have no control over what I can and can't do. They don't influence me at all.
I'm not a fan of livestreamers and content creators (especially when they dictate everything the game does and what players should and shouldn't do). Everyone should be free to make their own decisions.
Over time there will be fewer and fewer tutorials and how to's being created. This has been the trend for more than a couple years now. ZOS is antagonistic to their most experienced veteran players and content creators. See this related thread:

Sorry to see you go. You brought balanced views to the ESO community and I appreciated your content.
ESO has changed. It keeps changing and those changes are not keeping older players who got ESO popular and active around or interested.
Have fun with pursuing your other interests.
... and another ESO YT channel closes up. smh.

most here are placing these people on some sort of pedestal that if they quit the game is going to shut down. Guess what EQ is still going on without a content creator touting the game.
I only know Nefas from the forums here other then that I could careless if they left or took a hiatus cause I'm still logging in doing what I enjoy.
you can flame me for all that I said if you want but like i said, he never directed me to ESO to play and I play other games as well.
