The snare was an undocumented, unintended NPC snare attached to the re used NPC model of the wolves from that morph of the ult, correct? Just like the snare that blastbones used to have, which was a NPC effect from the re used skeleton model and which was later fixed?
If so, sounds like this was a quality bugfix.
I wonder, does this NPC snare also bypass snare immunities and purges like every other NPC snare in the game does?
A deserved change, in any case. Glad they're removing unnecessary and unfun mechanics like NPCs snaring you.

It's. Not. An. Npc. Snare.
This is a snare attached to a single morph of an ability. It is purgeable, does not stack with other snares, and the source has no control over when or how it's applied. Further the snare is a measly 30% for 4 seconds applied up to once every 10 seconds.

Well it's a snare applied by an NPC, so I'd personally call it an "NPC snare".
Did you test if it's purgeable? I ask because I'm curious. The vast majority of snares in the game applied by NPCs are either
1) unpurgeable by snare purge skills
2) can be applied to snare immune targets 3) stack with player snares, resulting in absurd snare values
Or some combination of the above.
Also, there are two wolf summons on the ult, no? So that "measly 30% for 4s every 10s" is actually potentially an 80% uptime snare that is free & autonomous.

I always hated it glad its gone. By all means gives ww a snair on an actual skill but passively on those annoying wolfs it was terrible its good quality of life change
Man, I sure miss Wolfhunter. Last time that werewolves were actually relevant.
Why ZOS is stacking nerf upon nerf on this class over time with zero explanation is rather puzzling. And still no weapon passives or purges that everyone else has access to.
