Indeed. Could it be possible that they are actually using another similar ascii in the chat such as 8859-2? That has ö and ä but not å.pborerb16_ESO wrote: »I think this can be no technical issue. From a technical point of view, supporting å (currently not supported for chat) is exactly the same thing as supporting æ and ä (both currently supported); in fact, to get a bit more technical, regardless of whether the game is using the somewhat antiquated ISO-8859-1 or the current UTF-8 standard, these letters would all be included anyway.

I explain it as ZoS stupidly only supporting a partial list, it might be the shorter ASCII list with a few bolted on.murklor007neb18_ESO wrote: »But they do support it. Sort of. That's the problem. They support some of the extended ASCII letters but not others. Ö and Ä work perfectly fine in chat. These are part of the extended ASCII. Which only lead to the conclusion that they are actively blocking Å.
How else would you explain it?
It might not be a huge priority, but (and here's the kicker) it's not that hard to fix either, they just need to patch the extra letters in, much easier than fixing the Bug were everyone starts speaking german for example.I agree the number 1 priority for this game should be to make the letter å available in this game.
Its not that there is anything other then just that, that is important.
Sorry just had to, are we really having a topic about a letter?

I've played in guilds in LOTRO, Rift and WOW with many Danes, Swedes, Finns, a Norwegian or two and even one Laplander .. none of them made a fuss over this, few actually used accented characters in their names and were perfectly happy. Is there no plan to solve an issue
