slack endgame at max level? The game is a week out of launch. If you hadn't extorted the quest issue to get so high, you would be lvl 30 like the rest of us.

I am just level 40 but the fact that the game has a new game + is one of the reasons I bought the game. I am actually hoping they maybe add a new game ++ down the line.

disagree with OP. Loving this game, the other day around the base of ash mountain a saw little puffs of smoke coming out of the ground, and I though to my self, how wonderfully detailed this world is.

it is by far the most detailed world I have seen in an MMO. BTW I was in BETA last four weeks, and 5 day EA and am currently only level level 10.

Not in a rush to see end game, enjoying the journey too much.
Who has time? But if we never take time how can we ever have time?

I have not reached the end game content yet, so I am going by what I have heard in 3 guild chats, and I will personally not be doing any of the veteran content. That being said, it was a lazy decision to make it where you just do the same old quests that another faction has. This idea would have been stellar if there were different quests, but it's all just the same. As someone juggling at least 4 characters in all 3 factions.. I'm not doing all that over again. I don't care how shiny the lootz are or whatnot, and I know there will be plenty of people that agree (and disagree) with me.

It's hardly whining when a *lot* of people see this as a huge flaw. We will see what happens, ultimately, and whether the 'whiners' were justified.

I think it's too early to say though right now, as the first adventure zone hasn't even launched. People need to give it a little more time before they make their ultimate judgement on the game.

Are they really the same quests the other factions have? They seem WAY WAY WAY shorter than the quests I did while leveling, and much less tedious. If so.. Nerf the faction im doing in Vet levels!

The fact people are already level 50 worries me about these peoples social abilities in real life.

But maybe that's because I'm not 13 years old anymore. When I actually had the time to go "hardcore gamer".

I actualy consider that (talking about a single faction) there are 60 lvls. It doesn't really make any difference if the devs call the first - 1-50 and the second vet lvl 1-10. Thats just a naming protocol. They could have easily called it level 1-60 or even vet 1-60, it amounts to the same thing. Content for you.
would ya mind if I fired me cannon through your porthole?

Veteran content isn't "end game". "End game" doesn't exist in ESO yet. Veteran content is just an extension of the original campaign.

    Having said that...
Haha ofcourse there were many fanboy flames back..I knew that
Go away with your fanboy flaming that doesnt have a proper argument.
You've already invalidated any credibility you may have possibly had. This thread is officially derailed and pointless. Good job!

I am surprised someone resurrected this thread :P

But I agree with Sarenia, when I see the word 'fanboy'/'fangirl' in a comment I stop reading and jump to the next one.

And back to the long forgotten thread: I still don't understand the outrage, you don't complain in games with lots of expansions that you have to do the content of all to reach the max level either. And lvl 50 here isn't even max level.

Yah, somebody had resurrected it. I didn't notice since it was on the top of the forum.

Their post seems to have been deleted though. Not surprising since they necro'd the thread just to call everybody slackers and tell us all to get a job.

And now it seems like as if you resurrected, shame on you, how will you talk yourself out of this? :P

But yep, I also saw that few line long advice to our lives ("Omg this game is not a job get a life noobs" was the most important message of that post), but since it is gone, I would like to ask everyone kindly to let this thread return to Sovngarde in peace, thanks! :P

I bet that the deleted post was part of Mannimarco's scheme by the way.

You really have to bend over backwards to not admit "veteran" leveling isn't some of the laziest design the genre has ever seen.

It's ok to admit it and still like it.

But its a better design to level to 90 and then do the same boring dungeon and raid every week?

Cmon, Vet content is a lot better than everything MMO´s gave us in the recent years. Finally we can gain skill´s past the level cap, something that Vanilla wow also once had, but the whiners ruined it and now you have zero char development from 90 onwards. This is lazy design!

Seems like this thread is not ready for Sovngarde yet. Too bad.

Anyway, if we were to replay the same faction on a harder difficulty, I would agree but not like this. Besides, I assume later we willnbe able to skip VR 1-10 on alts if we already did on main but this is just a guess. I can imagine them implementing such option.

I like how you always click lol on every post with any criticism and then rant about WoW like a jilted lover.

But yeah, fetch quests for endgame. What an awesome addition to the genre. Totally not lazy at all to recycle leveling content and pretend it's something new...

It's filler because they knew they were short on content.

It is new content if you don't play an alt on another faction before reaching level 50....

It's new as in, you haven't seen or played that content before, what's the problem here?

    Don't you want their Skyshards?

    You're missing my point.

The skyshards could easily just be restricted to the faction leveling in their own area and not be accessible to other players.

I mean...the design as it is now, is just slack game design from a higher standpoint.

AND you even run around without no world pvp or engagement other than the other Veterans you see and meet.

This kind of game design is so bad on many levels ...

Ok, but thats just your opinion.
Are you naive enough to think that bashing on a part of the game wouldn't start a flame war?

I get that VR content can feel grindy, I wished my story on AD continued instead of having to help those damn *** slavers dark elves, but me and as you can see a lot of other people still enjoy this type of content, it's something different, instead of having to make alts you can experience it all with one char.
ESO is a different type of mmo, it won't cater to every player because it isn't so...

I have to admit that i had the same feelings as the op about veteran-leveling when i reached level 50 (oh no more questing, i want endgame content!). Since then i have leveled to almost vr5 in a few days and i have to say that i like it! I really like the increase difficulty and exploring the other factions areas. And i am feeling a bit sad that leveling has to end soon... We will all reach vr10 sooner or later, better enjoy your leveling time until then :-)

I don't rant about WoW, I show people like you that WoW isn't as perfect as you think it is. Blizzard made many mistakes at WoW, that's all. People should learn from the past and not make the same mistakes again, but you seem to want to make those same mistakes for whatever reason that might be.

If you would have a bit more in depth knowledge about MMO´s, you would realize that Endgame isn't running the same dungeon or raid every day / week for some points or badges that you then carry to a vendor for gear. Endgame is char development beyond max level independently of gear progression and this we do have at TESO.

It doesn't matter if this char development is by going through other quest zones who are tuned for groups like at ESO or if you have some type of player housing like at SwG, huge pvp like at DAOC or something else.

Fact is, a good MMO offers players content after max level which enhances their character. Learning new skills, abilities, crafting, pvp and so on. Running a dungeon isn't Endgame, its a boring grind and if you like that type of thing you can always play an MMO that supports it.

There is no point in trying to make ESO that way, the Dev´s have a different idea about Endgame than you, accept it and move on.

Clicking LOL doesn't make any sense to me, I would like to have a disagree button which I would heavily abuse in your case, but that's all.

I completely agree. It's a cheap excuse for end-game content... I mean, just look at the lore... "Oh hey, so you finished those 500 uninspiring and often downright boring quests... well, let me just cast this magic uber-spell on you to make you look like a member of the other faction so you can repeat the process again". This is just sooo cheap.... I can't get over it - and I simply can't believe just how blind and uncritical a fanboi you'd have to be to not find this simply insulting to your own intelligence. I mean, if some quack can simply cast his super spell on people to make them "friendly" then what exactly is the point of the entire god-damn war for the throne? This sorry excuse for verteran content is not only extremely lazy and obvious but also game-breakingly idiotic from a lore point of view.

It's a sorry world where things like this can be released onto the market without an instant ***-storm. Shame on you ZOS and on your defenders here on the forum that are successfully lowering the standards of MMOs until ESO is all you can expect for $100.
