But why people would want a new class? How it can be a "most requested feature"?

Classes are a existing thing so I wasn’t really thinking of that as a “new” feature but that’s just semantics on my part. But classes honestly kind of feel the same to me maybe the combo system is different but I’m not expecting much of a departure.

The game isn't fun. Overland content is trivial and the only thing that keeps me going is Cyrodill and I haven't played this game in over a year logging in for the first time for a half hour the other day because Cyrodill is so damn laggy.
Not sure how you find spending 6 months to catch up training in everything or spending more cash to level up guild skillines and get skill points is fun or productive especially when overland offers no challenge (including World Bosses). Really whats the point of leveling a new class over the same boring lifeless non challenging content ontop of doing the 6 month grind.
I also don't understand how people play alts. One character to do everything is all I have ever done so essentially anytime they release a new class I only get half the content but to each their own.
I check back in Q4 with the new system.

Always cracks me up when someone who doesn't even play the game comes to give their opinion.
You play half an hour a year?
You've only had one character ever?
You don't see the point in a new class?
Tell you what change I'd like to see-- people that don't log in to the game at least once a month should have their forum account closed. This is the OFFICIAL forums, right? Not reddit?
How do Sorcerer mains feel about a new arcane magic class? Y’all cool with it? Gonna switch?wait and see? Or wish the Arcanist class was skill lines our current class could earn instead?

I have yet to use any psijiic skill on any of my 18 characters, meanwhile i have dozens of hours on each of my warden and necro. It add much more replayability and stuff to do than a skill line. It also shake things up quite a lot for most organised group of pve or pvp with new buff and such.
Not everybody will like doing the same stuff. I personnaly finfd the more fun in questing and exploration than any group content
As for how is it the most requested? My guess is the dozens of thread on this very forum and on other social media especially 2 year after elsweyr as people assumed a new class would be comming. Spell crafthing was pretty much silent on the forum until they showed the ritual emote and people just assumed again
Wow, the people here are funny. Give them a new class they were crying for and now nobody wants it.

People that were crying for a new class got what they wanted and cheered, but all the people saying "Please not a new class" like me are the ones complaining right now.

so you are not using other skill lines? Only your classes?
what's the point doing the same quests again and again with differents characters? It make no sense and it dosn't look interesting, it look like you repeat just the same activty again & again

I do use other skill line when releven but a new skill line doesnt had much for me

More seriously, with the amount of zone/quest out there, it can take me many month of 1-3h a day to have a repeat vs group content where content will be repeated far quicker.

Yes doing the same dungeons again and again is stupid. But you can simply do the quests on the same character, it even make a lot more sense.
I really don't understand how it can be fun to do the story again and again on different characters. There is not even character progression, you are still stuck with the same power.
I don't know if you want to start over again and again it's better to start an other game...
Agree, it would not be Oblivion spell crafting but more like alchemy or enchanting and the end product would be new spells.Spell crafting was never going to be a thing. People got all excited about it, and I agree it sounds amazing, but all it does it add uncontrollable nuance to a game they're already struggling to balance.
At most the spell crafting thing was going to manifest as a couple extra morphs of skills (decided by them,) that players could buy/build/find via some new antiquities feature. If you thought for a moment you were going to make your own spells do whatever you want then you were sorely mistaken.
Adding a new class is nice. A new guild would've been cool. A new weapon was my personal wish... But a new class is nice.
