ZOS makes it extremely difficult when you can only remove 200 items at a time from the craft bag. Do you have any idea how much time it would take to remove 50,000 Ta runes or alkahest at that rate? That’s why most of us let that stuff pile up and rot. But ZOS seems to have no problem with the data of 200k unused items taking up server space (on “millions” of accounts), so I’m not going to worry about it either.

As a longterm ESO+ player who was trained by games to loot everything, lol, I too tend to accumulate these relatively useless materials. But why should we suddenly have a new goldmine in our craftbag (as I imagine would happen if suddenly acai berries were needed for spellcrafting)? That hardly seems fair. Of course, being a longterm player already gives advantage in numerous other ways — why should we also be ahead on a new system? (If there is a new system requiring components — I realize we’re getting a bit ahead of things here!)
If you’re in a guild with a small trader, you might sell stacks of some of these for 1k gold or so. Some materials won’t move even then but I’ve sold a lot of extra provisioning materials that way. Otherwise, if it bothers you accumulating in your craftbag, just delete or vendor.

This is it. Why are we looting Ta runs?
It seems the simple answer is Zenimax permitting us to remove 10k or even 20k items from the crafting bag at a time so we can vendor them or destroy them.

I’m not one to leave trash behind for others, so I always autoloot and move on. But yes, raising the cap on item withdrawals and increasing stack size to 500 or better is the only way I will clean out my craft bag. Time is money to me, and micromanaging low value items is not a profitable way of using it.

But the premise of this thread is for Zenimax to fine-tune crafting so that we use everything in balance.

Kinda. It's more about tying existing content together and making the game more well rounded. The premise is that players would enjoy more integration of existing content into new features, more than stand alone new features partitioned off from the rest of the game. Now, if that ALSO gets us to use more of the thousands upon thousands of garbage clogging up our inventories... all the better!!
Again, just imagine if Furnishing crafting just took Style materials (Adamantite, Bronze, Bone, Corundum, ect) and new Furnishings materials (Bast, Heartwood, Regulus, Mundane Rune, ect). The additional Aspect Runes, Tempers, Resins, Trait Gems, Plating, ect is really good for the game! It's good for players to reuse existing game elements and tie the game together.

Giving them value does not make the game well rounded as is nowhere near what is important to making ESO a successful game. While it would lead more of us to do enchanting writs, I doubt that finding a use for Tas will do much to increase our enjoyment of ESO.
If Zenimax created a new system that would use these unused materials, etc, players would then complain that the price skyrocketed. We know this is as fact since players create posts complaining about "inflation" from time to time.
Is that good for the game? I think not.
