    Generation Y here, as far as I am aware;
    “Sus” mean suspicious.
What is pretty sus? Pretty sus is short for pretty suspicious, colloquially used to accuse someone of some very shady or sketchy behavior. The specific phrase pretty sus spread as a meme in 2020 thanks to the popularity of the video game Among Us.

I never played this game but I did hear a lot of the younger generation use the word sus, so I looked it up once :D

    “Sus” mean suspicious.

For a moment I now had the idea to invent a "modern" language by shortening each multi-syllable word to the first syllable only. That would be very dynamic and therefore corresponding to today's living conditions and requirements. Of course, no one would understand a thing anymore - but then again, 99% of the things people say don't make sense anyway.

perhaps that's a good idea. Imagine it would be hard if had to stick to one syllable though. It may need emojis to help understanding.

I think at a certain point they can't make everything customized. There is an art direction they're trying to establish as well. The tails are an iconic part of the franchise at this point!

Should go in the opposite direction and give us more variety to tails for khajiit and argonians. Khajiit needs to be less like a noodle and argonians need better texture and polygons on theirs.

Then add cosmetics to them. Such as the khajiit tail tuffs, or tail spikes for argonians. Also take them into consideration when it comes to costumes and styles. Especially when the style or costume is to their aesthetic.

If zos could easily remove or modify tail cosmetics, they’d already be selling them in crown store.

Not like zos passes up literally anything that can be sold in crown store, asap. So either they figure tail race stats are so low not worth their time (e.g. % population of players actively logging hours on tail race chars) or the changes to character models, movement animations and skeleton changes aren’t worth what they can monetize.

Back in Morrowind beta we had tail turfs for Khajiit and spikes for Argonians.
See my post on previous page for there you can see them.

One Khajiit Na'jhago got the turf in Clockwork city, he later lost it. I believe it was an bug as he could show up with an black face as in his face texture was missing, the turf also don't match hair color.
Later we got the one in a quest guest appearance, and permanently on the dock in Solitude, here the color is changed to match the hair but this could be set for this npc.

    And we have this chair
    Argonian-Chair-Woven.jpg?w=403&ssl=1
    https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/argonian-chair-woven/

Its an pretty nice chair but not any Argonian would use.

Yup. Those tail cosmetics were the ones I was thinking about. Some khajiit npcs still have the tuffs, and I want the tail spikes for one of my argonians so badly.

And don't get me started on the argonian furniture. Makes me wonder if they stopped for a single second and thought about how most of their furniture makes absolutely no sense for a race that got big tails. Even most of their styles and costumes are lacking in consideration for their tails.

Probably not a matter of realism, but of request. Many people want to be able to see the head of their character because they've spent a lot of time during character creation with sculpting the face - but how many people want to play a Khajiit or Argonian without a tail?

The way I had to look up Gen Y just to find out that I am part of Gen Y was the most meta thing I've done in awhile. Ppl always call us Millennials, so I was super confused for a second.

I think removing tails would be immersion breaking. Could just add an option in the char creator to have a nub tail? Like some people cut of their dog's tails IRL?

As an option, a missing or incomplete tail would be okay, I guess. Tails could be lost by injuries, whether because of accidents or in battle. Removing them intentionally would not make sense lore-wise, as both Khajiit and especially Argonians are proud of their tails, I think?

They put warm blooded mammal mammary glands on cold blooded egg layers, so magical Argonian tail vanishing chairs should be no surprise to anyone.

As far as I know, the Platypus lays eggs, nurses its offspring and has a metabolism that's very close to that of a cold blooded animal ;)

I know that there's no accounting for taste, but personally I think that Tails in ESO are actually nicely done, and they give certain charm to the races that have them.

Sure, tails could have been better, like in DOS2 where tail is actually a part of the body model, rather than additional one "glued" to the back.

Anyway, I remember reading a guide on to how to pick a race for a character and number 1 universal rule is that you shouldn't choose a race you don't like the look of. You are gonna spend a lot of time looking at that character (as you play the game) and if you don't like how your character looks like - then it is going to annoy you.

I am honestly surprised that some one does not like when player character has a tail or not, and still decides to choses a race that they don't like when it comes to appearance.

My advise would be to either use a race change, or use a polymorph.

Apples to Oranges. Hide Helmet is a very common option in video games. You are asking to remove a limb. This is like me wanting to play my Dunmer without arms.
