Very funny. So being forced to buy event tickets with real money is a joke to you?

I haven't had time at all to look at the event or the drops, so not 100% sure that this is the case here, but just mentioning that often they add things to the event rewards that also come in boxes, the idea being you can buy anything you don't get rather than being a "we are tempting you with more items than you can potential for earnable tickets."

Once I spent tickets on something the first day of the event and later I found it that it was a pretty common drop. I was annoyed but now I know and I wait a couple of days before buying stuff from the vendor.

I am not new, I started playing again. But yes, could be true. I don't know which stuff is new this event and whats old.
However if all the stuff for event tickets from the Impresario right now is in fact new, then I am still standing with my point.

You do not need 60 tickets to collect everything from the event, events like these you are expected to participate. You can get all the styles just by opening yellow plunder skulls each day. So that saves you the style tickets. (can even buy some from guildtraders if needed)
You do not have to collect all the parts for the dragon illusion right away, you can spread this out over multiple events. As this event only has the first part for the hourglass. The dragon illusion parts will be available again during the next event.

The only thing you really need tickets for during this event, is the first hourglass part. Which is 10 tickets. But you can gain more than 10 tickets during this event, so you can use the leftover tickets to buy the dragon illusion parts. Which should be about one or two of those. Then the next event you can buy the hourglass part + another one or two dragon illusion parts.

There is never a need to buy tickets if you participate in the events. I once even let a few tickets go to waste as I had nothing to spend them on. And I only once bought two tickets, due to the event being a PvP event, and I didn't feel that was worth the trouble.

PS: It is very annoying and complicated to figure out how events and all the available ticket parts work.
PPS: If you were talking about furnishings or recipes for tickets, just open plunder skulls and you get those for free.

The only "new" thing that must be gotten with tickets is the first piece of the morph for the Akatosh Timepiece furnishing.

All the other parts for the past pet have been available for a dozen+ events.

The style pages will all be available as drops from the coffers (and purchasable with gold in guild traders).

You only need 10 tickets to get otherwise inaccessible items that are new with this event

P.S. I'm not sure on the momento/pet/whatever it is... but those are only 5 tickets... so at worse it's 15.

If you are talking about the costume pieces, really you should not be using your tickets to buy the complete set.

You should be able to get some of them through drops, or even buy them from other players. Use your tickets there only when necessary.

The big ticket item is the hourglass parts (and the morphing pet “thing”, if you need the parts for it). Even for the pet you don’t need all the parts right now if you don’t want them. You can collect one part with each hourglass part if you wish to lessen the strain.

Yeah, I have a pet from previous events, plus the parts to make another. And 12/12 tickets. (since I didn't morph either of the previous 'season' items).
So I bought the first part of the hourglass. That's all those taken care of, so it's just the event-specific things that can drop from skulls.


Did four yellow skulls this morning - public dungeon, delve, world boss, anchor. Got one bonedust pigment, one of the new style pages, plus a yellow weapon style and a vampire lamp furniture plan. (plus four purple Dremora motif pages that I didn't need)

The witchmothers servant style pages are not bound when they drop from plunder skulls, only when bought from the ticket vendor. I would push these lower on your priority list if any of these three is true: you don't care about this style itself, you have lots of time to farm plunder skulls, or you have enough in game gold to buy the pages you're most interested in.

(because then it would be too easy for the "just want some things" players, who will get bored and leave, because they got what they wanted.)

As far as I know the only items that you can't get as drops are the hourglass fragments and the indriks if you didn't get them when they first came out about 2-3 years ago.

I haven't gotten a single style page dropped yet and I'm not interested in anything else so I bought a couple today.

I'm definitely not a completionist. I just want the few things I really like. There's way too much to have it all and it just clutters your inventory 😅 I'm not interested in anything In the hollowjack crates for example. I'm just bummed that I can't save more then 12 tickets for later use because there is a season that there are two I really want but I can't get both. Definitely not looking to get all. Like I wasn't super interested in the moss indrik but I wanted onyx so I got it and was stoked, it's my current mount. The previous one with luminous and ice breath I wanted both. I don't have much interest in the spectral or dawnwood either. Point is I wish I had a bit more freedom to get the ones I like. I can't ride that many at a time anyway but I want one for my main and his companion and my alt and their companion.

some of this stuff can be gotten through drops
