    I'm guessing there are likely to be a couple of Companions with next year's content...

    So. We've had a Dragonknight (Bastian), a Nightblade (Mirri), a Sorcerer (Ember) and a Templar (Isobel). Which suggests that we might get a Necromancer and a Warden next...

    Also, we've had an Imperial, a Dunmer, a Khajiit, and a Breton, so we're likely to get different races...

    And we always get one more "honourable" (Bastian, Isobel) and one more "dishonourable" (Mirri, Ember - although Mirri doesn't like you getting caught thieving, it's the getting caught she objects to, not the thieving.)

    And we need to finally have a Companion that actually *likes* the Dark Brotherhood. Since Ember actually gets bonus rapport from doing Thief heists, why not a companion that gets bonus rapport from doing DB sacraments?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So... how about an Argonian Shadowscale worshipper of Sithis. Perhaps they could even be the necromancer-type since Argonians, like Dunmer, seem to have fewer scruples in that direction?
    And perhaps pairing them up with something like a Bosmer Warden who is a Green Pact fanatic :-)
    (Then we'd still have Redguards, Altmer, Orcs and Nords to go, and have to start either inventing classes or repeating them.)
    An Argonian Shadowscale worshipper of Sithis who is a necromancer is coincidentally one of my toons.... :D
    It's funny, because my Breton Templar has the same hairstyle as Isobel (and same class/race as well). I have to wonder if ZOS is sneaking into my room and peeking through my diary some days, lol....
    My breton templar looked a bit like Isobel with a different hair style, before I re-made her as a warden.
    I also have a character called Ember and when I first heard one of the companions was called that I was half-expecting them to be similar, but my Ember is a nord dragonknight. (Technically her name is Eleanora, but that was her mother's name and she refuses to answer to it.)
    He'd technically be from the future, since the events of Oblivion haven't happened yet. And he's already in the game, technically, as we have an Adoring Fan NPC in Blackwood that's a random encounter in the wild.
    Would the bard beat mobs with their lute?
    I know you guys are joking, but tonal magic is very much a thing in TES lore. Music and sound literally has power. It's why things like shouts, sword singing, spinning, tonal architecture etc are a thing.
    It's just, ya know... most bards tend to look like that one in Gonfalon Bay.
    Tonal magic is not common, though. And bards, as in the Dungeon and Dragon sense is not a thing in Elder Scrolls. There is no bards commonly going around doing tonal magic with their lutes.
    Bards in Elder Scrolls are storytellers and musicians. Or, they are a name used for a certain type of thief class type who uses speechcraft, blade, illusion magic and some other ones. They aren't literally playing a lute and causing thunderstorms.
    I was referring to the previous games of TES. They would be a gold mine of interesting characters that I would love to have as companion. There are many. If that is not possible let us create a custom companion rather than have all these Mirris etc.
    I expect honorable orc warden and criminally insane argonian necromancer from formula. Both should be male but dunno if marketing calculates females more profitable. I'd like to see something creative and good instead but do not hold my breath waiting for that.
    Male Orc Necromancer and Male Wood Elf Warden would be my preference. However, if they gave us a Redguard or Argonian of either gender or class I'd be OK with it, too. Do not want a High Elf or a Nord.
    Don`t need them, but some combinations are thinkable if we`re looking whats left. I would prefer an eggbrother or sister with warden skilline.
    We clearly need TWO males this time to make up for the two females from last chapter... after all, ZOS is all about 'balance' right?!? :o I'd really like a male Wood Elf archer and a male Argonian Shadowscale dual wield assassin.
    What I would like to see is any gear piece on any companion. Why can't my companion use hand me down trial sets that could give it utility why does it have to be nearly useless with minimal stats from their special purple companion gear that I can't upgrade?
    I read that last part as "proselytize", and all my brain could think of in that moment was Bastian chastising a random bandit "Now, think about what you did and surrender yourself to holy Stendarr..." :D
    Can we just get more Dark Brotherhood content? The whole skill line is basically pointless from the rest of the game (except maybe Shadow Rider passive?) and the Dark Brotherhood guild itself is almost completely isolated to the Gold Coast... such a shame.
    Isobel is really big on thanking Stendarr, like constantly. Thank Stendarr this, bless Stendarr that. Like, girl, have some self esteem, you killed that daedra, no divine intervention needed :D . Can't see Bastian caring much about redeeming bandits, he loves killing them way too much.
    I would like the option of having companions invisible to those players who find them a real nuisance in junking up the screen.
    Between pets and companions, there's a lot of annoying clutter.
    Why not more females in these important roles?
    While society claims to want "balance" in all things today, that is not necessarily a plus in a game.
    They should produce whatever most of the playerbase wants, though figuring out that now would be hard.
    Note that none of the females produced so far are really "waifu" quality, at least compared to those in anime, so we still need a good waifu at some point!
    Sammy replayed through the Vvardenfell main quest with Mirri, was hoping she’d comment on seeing Vivec, but she didn’t say anything.
    Whereas Isobel did comment once or twice whilst in Lady Arabelle’s house during the quest dialogues.
    It’d be nice if they can integrate the companions a bit more into main quest of the area that they came from. For example, a companion specific quest directly in relation to the main story, so that you feel there is more connection between the companions and the world that they’re from.
    That would be cool! I guess it's kind of understandable since Vvardenfell is older content while High Isle was released the same time as Isobel. But they could still have her comment something vague about being in the throne room regardless of whether Vivec happens to be there or not (he's not always there depending on where you are in the quest and I don't know if he appears prior to the quest).
    I imagine even just being in the throne room for a devout Tribunal worshipper would be fantastic. Same with the Tribunal temple in Mournhold....
    @Wolf_Eye if Mirri begins to pray whilst in front of one of the Three, or just a bit more random comment, that’d be very cool.
    Same with Bastian in a temple, “Can we stay a moment? I would like to reflect on my parents.” Just something that continues to build on the companions’ sense of connection to the locations, their emotional response to other NPCs etc, that’d go a long way to make them feel more relatable.
    I am not sure if Isobel's comment about "Camping" while in the crafting area or Lady Arabelle's house should count... I would like to see the localization for some comments be updated...
    But then I would also like to have a "Slot" in the companion menu where I could drop food or drinks that the companions commented about (Mirri would not have to get drunk or Isobel get fat, but Bastion could get miffed if handed a Cheese dish) I get rapport with Mirri or Isobel for making some items in Provisioning, or losing points with Bastion, so instead of getting more than one point, I get the rest of the 5 points by handing them that which they praise... or losing them with Bastion because of his lactose intolerance.
    Ember likes when I harvest rune stones, says she wants to see what I make with them, then ignores me when I make a Glyph or apply it to a piece of gear.
    Bastion may hate when I pick someone's pockets, but ignores stealing from a container and worse praises me when I open a lockbox with a comment about finding an inn to spend it... At least Isobel disagrees when I go into the local thieves' den to sell my unlawfully gained items, Bastion just trails along silently... oh, and Ember gets excited.
    Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...
    The moment when Isobel commented was when this one was inside Lady Arabelle’s house - it was after the grand feast/ball in which the Ascendants Order top dog revealed themselves, and Isobel commented about how this is terrible that her home and city are under attack (or something like that).
    Just to spice things up: Maormer servant. There is 0.00% chance they will ever be a playable race, so for those that keep wanting that, this would be your best bet to get close to that. The "servant" part is specifically chosen, because you only get one if you take full responsibility for them as you walk around Tamriel.
    Also, malfunctioning quirky factotum.
