I'm not happy with the people who queue random vet dungeon who leave on dread cellar, coral aerie, graven deep, earthen root enclave, etc. as soon as they get in and am adding them to my ignore list.
These are not the people I want to queue with and have to find replacements for, there should be some system in place to punish leaves just as there is with any other game.
You can blame ZOS for
[1] requiring 2 DPS, 1 tank, and 1 healer per group, and
[2] gating limited time rewards behind dungeon completion.
Put those two things together, and there are going to be a lot of disappointed and unhappy people.

I do, however, think its wise to build your self to keep up with a group that is on the move.

For my experience, in this event the sprinting has been worse. The issue for me isn't the speed, it is the lack of control which ends up in a slower run. I have run with tanks who actually tanked where they collect half the dungeon, park them in a corner and we AoE it down in seconds. That's a speed run.
What I have been seeing in this event is one person taking off, usually before all 4 even load, and the trash mobs go everywhere. Then the sprinter stops in the middle of a large room so the ranged trash is spread out so the AoE is hitting a limited number of people and the melee trash are on the DPS and healer. About half the time, the sprinter doesn't even control the boss even if they appeared to be a real tank.
That doesn't speed anything up. Its just a sloppy run which ends up being slower.
I think the fastest Fungal run so far this event was a methodically one with three players, two of which were under level 25. That's the frustrating part - the chaotic sprinting does the opposite of their goal. Just makes a mess.
Update: Of course after I type this ^ I get a Fungal 1 run that was good. But the sprinter drug everything to the door so they piled up for us. That small difference cut a lot of time off the other sprint runs.
This community (i.e. the forums) seem to go very hard all in on justifying fake tanks and healers. Apparently it’s ok to fake tank and heal because some other players dps is low? I don’t get it myself.
Anyway, I have been avoiding this event because I knew it was going to be awful. I even made a lowbie tank particularly for events like this, but this time I have not bothered loading into him.
Luckily there is really nothing at the event vendors I want (that costume is terrible). So this whole event period feels a bit like I dodged a bullet.
Never understood why people get upset with other players who don't live up to their expectations in random dungeons groups. I see players almost throwing tantrums like children. I hate the word "carry". It is incredibly derogatory. Seriously, if anyone thinks they are just too awesome to play with a random team, don't do it. And if they believe they are just too far above it all to help other players with mechanics (mechanics presumably someone at some point taught them), don't go in the dungeon with players you don't know. I am sure players who hate to "carry" players would just be far happier in a nice elitist clique somewhere.
Had 0 issues so far, I fake tanked well over a 100 dungeons since the event started. I have taunt and all major debuffs, I even provide major vuln for bosses. I dont rush ahead of my grp, but if you think I'm gonna wear 2 tank sets with sword and board and ice staff while the 2 "dps" players are doing 20% of the groups damage together, then you are crazy.
