I've been wondering if soloing dungeons puts an extra strain on the servers as far as having a lot of individual instances to manage, so I suspect that grouping with 3 other players is definitely preferred by ZOS on that account.
But I worry that I'm too inexperienced with specific dungeons, as well as too "weak" as far as DPS, to run most dungeons with an average group. Plus, when I do run a dungeon with a group it often turns into a situation where I'm running blindly through an unfamiliar dungeon just trying to find, and keep up with, the group. Rather than feeling like I'm going to be dragging down the other players, I'd rather just solo the dungeons I know I can handle (on normal), and attempt an unfamiliar one every so often to see if I can add it to my list of the ones I can solo.
The queue doesn't sort players by CP/level, I've gotten groups of varying CP numbers and levels for years. It's always like that.I don't know but why is the game mixing high cp with very low cp and sometimes below lvl50 players ?

Can't say I'm surprised though. With all fake tanks, fake healers,I don't see the problem with a low cp person in a vet dungeon as cp does not necessarily mean skill. A 2k cp person could've gotten their cp PvPing while a cp 150 could be purely leveling through dungeons. I know it means they won't have the cp for max gear but that may be their way of leveling.3 cp2k and one cp150 in vet random dungeon...I have noticed this seems to be worse during the event somehow. People are going faster than ever and I can barely keep up at times. I understand why though... farming those double last boss drops does that to people. If it becomes a problem I do not hesitate to call them out on it though.and people who want to rush, when other are lost behindNormal doesn't teach mechs if the dps is high enough. Vet is a good place to learn them.and people in vet DLC dungeon who have no idea about mechsI haven't tried non DLC pledges during the event but if this happens I usually just mention HM in chat and die. Since I haven't seen this happen personally during the event I'm not sure how well it'd work though.and people who want HM for key when other are rushing last boss...The event seems to be more geared towards doing as many dungeons as fast as possible. Once I got into that I started really enjoying it.omg is it only me or this event is really turning into disappointment and frustration ?
Check out my thread on speed caps in my sig. They arent going faster than they have in the past, but its definitely easier than it used to be to get to top speed. Things Like Celerity in the red CP, Steeds Blessing in the green CP, generally more medium armor on DPS, Generally larger stam pools with people running sugar skulls, and sets like FG and VO make it pretty easy to get close to the speed cap between pulls.
All it really takes is Sprint, Major Expedition (VO or FG), Celerity and Steeds Blessing, and you are capped out of combat. Because FG and VO give ME on kills, it generally means that between pulls you are speed capped.
Now to be clear, I think it is generally poor form to just sprint to the end of the dungeon and leave everything alive in your wake, but I dont find that to nearly as prevelant as the forums suggest. I do, however, think its wise to build your self to keep up with a group that is on the move.

I have pathetic DPS, can't count on a roll dodge working, being able to get my ultimate off or interrupting at the right time. I only solo since I won't subject others to my limitations.
But with my bear, I've been able to solo Eden Hollow 2 (though I don't quite know how since the last boss was at 500k then dead both times), Banished Cells 2 (spent lots if time floating while bear took care of boss), City of Ash 2 (took very long, but by the time I finally killed the ash titan, I really wanted it dead) and I think I could have done Spindle 2 since I was playing with a brand new player who spent 90% of the time dead (and who still won't focus on the adds instead of the boss, so he's level 40 and still mostly dead).
People queue vet dungeons without knowing mechanics outside of the event too. Pugging vet is like that meme....
With all fake tanks, fake healers,
3 cp2k and one cp150 in vet random dungeon...
and people who want to rush, when other are lost behind
and people in vet DLC dungeon who have no idea about mechs

Had 0 issues so far, I fake tanked well over a 100 dungeons since the event started. I have taunt and all major debuffs, I even provide major vuln for bosses. I dont rush ahead of my grp, but if you think I'm gonna wear 2 tank sets with sword and board and ice staff while the 2 "dps" players are doing 20% of the groups damage together, then you are crazy.

I think you misunderstand the concept of 'fake tank'.
In normal dungeon zergs you only need to bring 9k penetration and keep the boss fairly still. That's it, nothing more is needed for you to transcend the border between fake and real tank.
I love this event - my new Breton Nightblade (I had an Imperial one for the 2 other roles) has been focusing on healer and doing 20k dps while sometimes tanking the bosses but it's a bit silly that the person who queues as a tank lacks a taunt. Not so much needed as annoying someone cheats the system for their personal selfishness more than anything.
Never understood why people get upset with other players who don't live up to their expectations in random dungeons groups. I see players almost throwing tantrums like children. I hate the word "carry". It is incredibly derogatory. Seriously, if anyone thinks they are just too awesome to play with a random team, don't do it. And if they believe they are just too far above it all to help other players with mechanics (mechanics presumably someone at some point taught them), don't go in the dungeon with players you don't know. I am sure players who hate to "carry" players would just be far happier in a nice elitist clique somewhere.
