Do we need an account-wide Consumables Bag? I think it's time

Each new addition and each new chapter adds new items, new crafting materials. The number of items is increasing, and the inventory is getting "smaller". This problem is one of the triggers of player fatigue from pointless actions to manage inventory space.

Would like to see the trash stam, mag and health potions added to the crafting bag.

Also love to see survey writs we get added as well to the crafting bag so all our characters can access them without having pull them from account bank to each character personal bag space.

    Stay safe :)

I'm surprised there isn't more support for this idea; I love it personally! Although I think I would want one or two features that may not be inherent with the craft bag.

First, I find it inefficient to delete things I just get over and over again so in my inventory I usually have... stam/mag/health white potions, stam/mag/health Bastian potions, three stacks of white poisons, and Crown Store tripods that come as daily rewards. I use the tri pots but everything else gets vendored when I reach a full stack so I don't ever have two stacks.

THEN I have the stuff I actually use. For my healer main alone, I carry the blue mag/health food, Witchmother's, and Clockwork (which I'm always forgetting to have on the right character after I purchase. Plus spell pots. This is for healing and doesn't even cover what I might carry when I switch to PvP or DPS.

Then there's my bank. It has all the extra daily reward food and drink, which I deposit and stack so it takes as little space across my inventory as possible (for example instead of 8 characters having the chicken food it is one stack on my bank). It has stacks of all the food and potions/poisons that come up in the rotation for daily writs. Stacks of food/drink I use rarely but can only make on one character (like the food that makes you fish better). My bank is my most precious space because it is the most efficient place to keep anything I share across characters. Housing chests are NOT efficient for this, and I still bounce mail around but it is harder because of the new expiration rules which are 30 days now. I would love to reclaim any bank space that I could.

However I think we'd want a feature where we could specify, per character, items that do not auto-stack into the consumable bag OR it would need to function just like an extension of inventory but with separate filters and views. Somehow in my actual inventory I would want it so I could see my spell pots on my healer and not what I make for my tanks, stam DPS, etc.

And I haven't even talked about consumables that aren't potions, food, or drink!!

Honestly what do you all have in your inventories that you can't spare room for a few stacks of potions and food?

    Sets. A lot of sets.

Aren't most of them supposed to be either the same and/or useless nowadays?

I find it so difficult these days keeping on top of the complaints...

I think it depends a lot on whether you are DPS or support. My DPS friends bragged about their "90 free slots" even before hybridization. Hybridization just made it that you could share sets across all toons because now BIS can be the same for stam/mag. But as a healer I still have to lug around tons of gear. And I use the Armory which means now I can have a full DPS or solo spec on each support character. That's nice but the gear has to sit somewhere.

    Just stop making/hoarding unnecessary consumables.

If you have too many lockpicks that you need the bank to store them, sell some. Same goes for potions you pick up and for soul gems. Just sell excess and keep what you need. Only make food you plan to use.

No need to implement a solution for a player made problem.

It isn't a player made problem. It's a ZOS made "problem." Why would I vendor a stack of 12 white health pots, which I never ever use, only to pick one up again in the next pull or two? We get all these drops from the daily rewards (implemented by ZOS), from Bastian (implemented by ZOS), from reward boxes (implemented by ZOS), from playing the game... I could go on and on. You may find it fun to pull out the merchant and sell this stuff each pull, or micro configure mods to not pick up certain things or auto sell certain things, but I don't. I would love to not have to worry about it anymore.

Btw I agree with those of you saying that all inventory should not be account-wide... that would be awful. But I think it would be great to reclaim the space all these consumables are taking in my character and bank inventory, with the added QoL of avoiding a few load screens when you forget to move something off the character that made or bought it.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Let's face it, our inventory space is cluttered and we spend lots of time playing the inventory minigame. For quality of life, give us a "Consumables Bag" (similar in function to the existing crafting bag) where we can store all our potions, food, drink, poisons, soul gems, lockpicks, repair kits etc. Right now we are just splitting stacks and spreading the same items across all characters. Why would we ever want to have separate consumable inventories on each character to carry the same items? It's a huge waste of space and creates unnecessary clutter.

And not hidden behind an ESO+ pay wall like the crafting bag, thank you very much...

Let's be honest here. What they can monetize they will monetize.

Something like this certainly will be.
