I commented before the patch about how the developers are looking to counteract the massive advantage in DPS that PC players are afforded versus consoles. Reviewing ESO logs and how you can see the very highest dps runs in the HM trials, etc. uses the tools of dressing room, etc. They can change in a simple keystroke their entire skills, gear, champion points, etc. No wonder.
If we want to switch skills, gear, etc. on console -- Oh pay us for the new ally... Oh he won't work in a trial, or between trash pulls, -- but hey -- pay us.
I specifically ran multiple VMA runs before the patch, and then ran them after.... OMG the DPS loss. How slow did the content seem. So much to just stay alive ---
ESO - If you want to fix the DPS race -- Disable the add-ons... Make people learn mechanics.. Fix where you can't run 3 dps/1 tank into a dungeon... Make the spirit of the game come back. Your making changes to a system (PS4/5 & Xbox) that do not have the same crutches that you allowed on the PC. You have crippled the game. Where are you creating the need for the roles beyond the 3 basic in 4 man? How can you look at the logs and see 8 necros, 2 healers, and 2 tanks walk into a dungeon? And then think you did good?
We don't have timers for every click of a keyboard / button. We don't have add-ons that tell us when the next event is about to happen in a trial. We don't have something telling us we're targeted. We can't change CP, Skills, Gear on a flip of a switch.
But you have made very specific, public, and video recorded statements about how you, the developers, have executed all of this content, in hard mode, without a single CP point applied. Show us. Prove it. Not with "Dev Cheats" turned on. Where you click a button and kill it all. Show us that you actually did test it. Show us that you haven't continued to stack on content on top of content.. And that you didn't create the same mess that you claim "we" created.
There is not a single skill, cp, combo, or rotation that you did not code. I've written software for 30+ years. You wrote it. You own it. Be proud of it. Show us how we're wrong.
I do recognize that there is a problem with the game... The problem is with a lack of vision with regards to where you wish to take the game. You introduce something and forget that you have created a scenario where everyone wants to beat content as fast as possible to be the best. Where people are paying in game sums of all amounts to be "carried" through content. Where you then the very next update, patch, or release have to destroy that which you presented in the previous. It has grown so large that your walking all over aspects that stack on to the problem.
You have now created a situation that makes it difficult to actually follow, do the mechanics of the game, and be successful. All of you are professionals. Do better. Release a fix that makes this better for the community. Sit down with the product owners, envision where you want the game to go, and put a real roadmap together as to where you want to take it. No more half thought/baked releases. With something this large, over multiple years, test it all.
