only thing I'm looking forward to as a warden is that mag scorch morph will have a double proc.
literally everything else is looking bleak compared to live

I'm pretty sure I'll still do100k+ on both stamden and magden with destro backbar when this goes live. It's hilarious that they thought that locking winter's revenge to being stronger with a destro cast would deter stamdens.

It still doesn't feel good for such good class skill to require a staff, for you to be disincentivized from using it with literally any other weapon :\

They don’t hate wardens, there’s just no one on the dev team that plays warden in PVP.

There might be somebody that plays night blade though. 🤔

During week one I have been very existed regarding having a good healing skill, but as for week 5, its tooltip is ~50% lower compared to vigor which also give you 3k armor, this skill became mandatory and I'm not sure what skill I should cut for it.

This 100%. Our class skills are our "innate" abilities and should not be tied to our equipped weapon like this. I try to stay positive and be understanding of their proposed changes but this one seems like it should have been dismissed in the early internal discussions and not gone to public testing. This just conflicts so hard with hybridization, the basic concept of class skills, and the "play as you want" idea of the game imo.

I think they just need to give Advanced Species something that doesn't cap and restore some of Winter's Revenge's power without putting it in this weird half-weapon-skill state. Icy Aura is begging for a change, let that be the space for something that helps Magdens.

Well. I guess I take it?
I am not too unhappy with the changes.

Let's face reality: When we look at the whole picture, Warden gets somewhat more in line. If we use "class tiers", I'd say in regards to Warden we move from D or C tier towards B or even A tier, with almost all classes congregating at A tier. Likely outliers still: Templar & Dragonknight for general PvP / brawling (closer to an S tier) with Nightblade for ganking (S tier ganker) and Necromancer still being an ultra-high ae-burst-bomber vs groups (S tier bomber). So yea, Wardens will sit next to Sorcs with less mobilty but more damage - in theory, when we hit our skills.

Furthermore, that is in regards to PvP too - I assume PvP will slightly improve due to increased time to kill - a lot of common 1shot builds will no longer exist and Magden will have access to a class specific burst heal with stun. Not too shabby.

Now for PvE. I will have some fun exploring new builds and ways to play content that might give new challenges. Might I die in Maelstrom or Vateshran? Maybe. But it is fun running this stuff with a glass-cannony-style character anyway. So might get more exciting for some runs.

Worst thing for me? Well, it's 2 main issues.
#1 is pretty much everything the community suggested would have been better then what actually was implemented.
#2 most people feel way stronger and a few (at least) will be pausing or quitting this patch.

So yea, the negatives are about the patch, the communication, all the stuff that is going wrong - I just do not feel like a valued customer, just like many others, with all the fallout that comes with it and will likely negatively effect the game and the community years to come.

The Winter’s Revenge change is positive as I run Destro anyway but I do think it’s a bit weird. Nice in concept, but weird in practice. I suppose hybrids could backbar a destro staff. However, I think this kind of function could be added as a passive in the Destruction Staff line. Like Inferno Staff has a passive buff for all Fire spells and same with other staves.
