    Seriously, your assertion is a bit crazy. Exaggerating like that and throwing a hissy fit does not help - list the quests, bug report them, and move on.. which you can do.

    Every time I have contacted support I've heard back within hours, or a day or so at max. Perhaps you aren't calmly and thoroughly explaining your issue, or are too busy being mad to actually get help. Hyperbole doesn't help anyone fix anything.

    Let me explain the context of the exploit/bug in mention here.

    During Veteran Ranked content, to progress from one faction to another, you need to complete the Main story line in full for the faction you are working through.

    The quest "The First Step" is at the near of the climax for the Aldemiri Dominion main story, and requires you to choose between two champions for an important position of power, to do so, all three of you must drink from chalices laid out before you by a seer. This part of the quest is the only way to progress through the main story. There is no other objective or work around, and clearly attempting any player-sided fix to clear the quest cache is not working. It requires a form of administrative assistance, either a bug fix or it could be as simple as a GM progressing you to the next stage. (Us players do not know as we have all been unable to get assistance in game as of yet.)

    Anyways, the seer will ask you to witness the champions drink from the cup, and then the champions will go to their respective corners of the room. You cannot drink from your chalice until both NPCs have progressed through this stage.

    During this phase there is an issue where a player can knowingly or unknowingly cause the champion on the left to become bugged and, while she plays the animation of drinking, she does not go to her corner of the room and thus you cannot progress. This is where the problem is as without being able to complete this quest, we cannot complete the Aldemiri Dominion main story arc and therefor canot complete Cadwell's veteran quest that will allow us to experience the Ebonheart pact. This is a Veteran Rank 1-5 issue.

    Yes we can still level through PVP or dungeons to Veteran Rank 6-10.

    No we cannot progress through the Veteran Rank (Ebonheart Pact) 6-10 content. This means we cannot do the quests, earn the titles associated with skysjards, dolmens, quests, ect. Nor can we collect our own VR6-10 resources which drop exclusively in 6-10 zones respectively.

    Clearly we can still level, but we're very upset that we're missing out on essentially a 3rd of the content for a single character. We're all very aware that we could make alternative characters and experience the content through them, but for a person looking to have all 3 factions done on a single character and experiencing what is essentially end game free-roam content (VR 9-10 zones), we cannot until this is patched.

    I would hope that you understand that this is frustrating for us as the most amount of communication took an estimated 10 days before we had anything solid to know that the developers were looking at this.

    I also received support within an hour of filing my ticket, however, the response was a copy/paste answer that did not even pertain to the issue and my submission was clearly not even read. After multiple attempts I did find much more helpful representatives but every last one of them ceased communication after my second response. They were all written plainly, clearly, and when I was in a calm state of mind.

    I have emailed many ZOS employees about this bug with no response other than @ZOS_GinaBruno's on this very thread.

    We have tried being phoned by customer support as well, or at the very least I have. I was hung up on the first time (on accident I assume, as I had not even spoken yet and the representative was still greeting me) and I am on day 3 awaiting another call.

    We're very frustrated as we clearly want to access this content quickly being over VR1 under a month after a release, that is our choice, but the fact that it feels like we are being ignored to a very critical issue that other players are exploiting for the sake of exploiting should be addressed in a timely manner and taken seriously.


    TLDR; Give us a break, we're pretty frustrated over here.

    I am bugged on this quest as well. I have never been about bashing this game or becoming distraught over bosses not spawning, people exploiting/bots or other miscellaneous issues I knew would be ironed out. I understand that annoying issues come up - this is a new game.

    HOWEVER, this bug and knowing that it has been reported weeks back, impacts my perspective while in Tamriel. Knowing that my character cannot progress to other factions because of the interactable not being target-able is devastating. I log onto my character and see her as bound and chained - she cannot explore outside of the Aldmeri faction.

    I have tried every fix out there. Relogging, /reloadui , traveling to player in the quest, abandoning (several different orders of abandoning the quest and re-entering), different pathways in dialogue, carrying out other miscellaneous quests and coming back randomly after hours have passed and logging out of the game for hours too. The most dramatic attempt to fix was uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Nothing works.

    Please help us, ZOS. A GM logging in and helping us out would suffice while you work on the real solution.

    Oh and I would like to add, a previous poster was dead on. Khali (the NPC) does not move after she drinks the elixir from the alter. Shazah, however (the other NPC) *does* move.

    This, this, and more of this. As I have stated in previous posts we know exactly the cause of the exploit, how it can be done, and how it can be avoided - This is all ZOS needs to correct the bug and they need very very little to log on an administrative account and progress us through the quest manually in a matter of seconds.

    As I have ended most of my posts, I love this game and I want to continue loving this game, but this has made it extremely hard to do so for going on over a week now.

    This is a really serious issue. I've tried every known conceivable permutation suggested here and then some with absolutely no change to help a friend through this who has this bug.

    If people can't get through this it's an absolute show stopper as they'll be missing massive amounts of the game.

    I bolded what is most important. Many of us are stopped dead in our tracks from experiencing 50+ content. That is HUGE! I don't care if I lag, I don't care if I can't get a boss to spawn for a side-quest or map completion. I'll come back and deal with that later. No problem! But I DO CARE that I cannot get through the REQUIRED main quest line for progression to ESO's world.

    I would like my veteran-content accessible. And knowing that it isn't, is saddening.

    I believe the reason why most quests are bugged atm is cause I always see people standing afk most of the time within the quests vicinity, there probably on a separate phase or something i'm guessing and doing it unpurpose to halt the advance of others. But if there is no one there then it needs fixing

    IE the low lvl mages guild quests where everyone had to share the same puzzle quest at the same time of whoever was in the area at the time.

    The reason this quest is exploitable is because there is an issue when one person drinks the chalice while anyone is on the stage beforehand, it causes a lack of progression, I explain this in depth in a previous post, and cannot reference on my mobile device at the moment.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno, thank you for finally providing an update.. Feels like the first solid progeess we've gotten. :)

    She didn't say the fix was ready. Keep an eye on the patch notes every time the servers go down for regular schedule. Until then do not expect a fix, because customer support has put us all on the back burner since this bug appeared.

    I absolutely do believe they are working on a fix and will fix it when it's actually fixed, but that means we have to wait until the upcoming maintenance days (sundays and tuesdays) until we finally see the patch notes and eventually the fix that comes with it.

    I am a skeptic by nature and I believe saying "we have a fix" as a way to calm down the masses. Alas, today's patch did nothing. I was semi-hopeful but it is what it is. Will Friday's maintenance help? Who knows. Adding to what you said, we are quite powerless here.

    Not to play devil's advocate, but @ZOS_GinaBruno said they are still working on a fix, that doesn't mean they "have a fix". It could be another week or two before the developers feel confident the fix they are testing will work and not interfere with other bits of game code.

    Yep. I bypassed this. It isn't actually progress-blocking if you can get to Cold Harbour. Which, I did. So, I found a fix for myself for now.

    I am a Daggerfall Covenant player. It is 100% progress blocking for us. The only way to progress to Veteran Rank 6-10 areas (as Aldemiri Dominion content is 1-5) is to complete the main AD story. This means this quest. This means there are no other means to experience the Ebonheart pact until I complete The First Step and the quests afterwards.

    This means the majority of people with this problem cannot progress as Coldharbour is not veteran ranked content and we do not progress to it.

    Edit: This is week 3 for some of us veteran ranked players. Should mean a lot that we need to be patient three weeks in to progress halted now more than ever.

    Unfortunately there is very little we can do other than wait until this problem is fixed with the in-progress fix mentioned before.

    Customer Support either does not care or cannot help us with this issue as they either do not read the tickets or stop responding consistently after the 3rd reply to the customer with absolutely no form of communication afterwards. Currently all of us affected are waiting for it to be handled internally by the developers with no ETA on the fix other than it is being tested.

    This is actually awful, since this is a pay to play game. I expect the bugs/fixes/services to be better. I guess I was wrong, they should be considering the main quest a priority than fixing those sides. With this many people complaining and no fix. This is really unfortunate.

    I'm trying so hard to remain patient and understanding with this issue. But an outstanding 2+ weeks now for some of us with no alternative.. Kind of sucks.
