Do you want romances in companions? And open world elements

I know I know this isn't SWTOR, but a bit free roam pve and romances can be good in my opinion, Mirri with her wine or Naryu (I think that was her name no?) can be good, so far I noticed back when I played it there is stories and there is pvp / dungeons, nothing else in terms of pve. Additional content in pve like these can increase the playerbase if they daily or weekly,

people always looking for pve stuff to do in MMO games, I can tell that in my 20 years of mmo gaming, like repeatable cutscenes and quests. Unfortunately SWTOR almost left with skeleton crew thanks to evil men at EA exec boards so developers suffering there as much as playerbase. So these content can be put in good use here yes? Clearly ESO dev team have more people in studio than BioWare. I even did read somewhere on Google that EA even abandoned the Battlefield 2042, their flagship game, with almost none to exist crew.

Greed is main the reason we cannot have high quality games anymore in this industry, so I hope ESO devs continue to support the game forever, as this seems my only mmo to go for and play since it is hard to keep up good economy in GW2.

Off topic, but I think we need somesort hard shake up in this industry to reorganise key people back to studios and start developing good games, like ones in late 90's and 2000s.I came from Windows 98 MSN Gaming Zone with dial up connections to Windows 7 late night sessions in house. I did always lock my room door to not wake up people in house, that was good times.
It's sad and depressing to see Video Gaming have come to this, only dollars and euros matter todays, what a shame.

Tell me if you want open world elements and romances, free roam events in ESO, or you just want more pvp, tell me both, what are your opinions? So far ı always see people say things about armour, gearing.

MMOs need to expand beyond armour and gearing, there should be more relaxed casual pve stuff while having pvp maps and making both sides happy.

I don't really care about romancing companions because, honestly, the most attractive male npcs in the game will never be companions, Ashur, Melar and not only that but I can't see ZOS actually giving companions personalities like Ashur and Melar and yeah, even Jakarn, so companions will always be second rate and keep me from getting bored when playing solo.

I honestly would rather be able to play with my pets than have companions who are romanceable.

We're already almost married Mirri and i, but yes, i'd like the game to acknowledge that as well. Few extra lines of dialogue totally couldn't hurt <З What did they say.. ZOSes, what did they say, 'we want to make it right'? Well not doing it at all is not the right way

I've never had any interest in romance in games. I don't care if it's there for others, I'll just continue to ignore that sort of thing.

Otherwise, regarding your further statements, the game fits what I want in a game perfectly right now, so no, I'm not wanting "free roam events" etc.

We can't even get tables in inns with chairs you can sit down in, you think ZOS is gonna add open world elements when they can't even do something as simple as add chairs my friends and I can sit on? There is literally three tables in the entire game you can sit across from a friend at, and all three are in Blackwood.

I like romance in games, it adds to the roleplaying element for me. It doesn't have to be intrusive and there should always be the option to turn it down. The question whether romance is going to be added to ESO still comes up regularly on social media with a lot of players having genuine interest.
i'd like the game to acknowledge that as well

I do a lot solo roleplaying and over time find myself filling in the story gaps between my dunmer main girl and Bastian. Obviously the story I've put together in my head is going to be more complex than anything that can be added in game but yes, it would be nice to have a few lines here and there and a change in greeting.

I can't imagine it would be convincing/immersive enough without some kind of AI, which could never happen in an MMO.

We have a cleaning machine powered by Internet and AI in our house and that "amazing, ground breaking, awesome AI machine keep stucking on stairs. I would have expect that AI ground breaking, will change everything AI to fly and clean my house from top to bottom.

If you mean normal type of level of AI/computer, sure no worries, but I rather die in hell than having some creepy nasty AI take over my companions.

My main's heart is already taken by someone, but my other chars might still be interested in a romance.
However, I am a bit skeptical that this could be done well and not just cheap flirting in the style of Jakarn...

It seems like the only fully staffed department at ZOS these days is the marketing department to me. I don't see much improvement on any front, just a continual stream of marketing gimmicks, like Oakensoul to sell High Isle etc.

And I feel there are at least 1000 things ZOS should be working on other than adding "romance" to ESO. They need to be focusing on making the game better, most especially improving PvP/Cyrodiil.

It's good to use our imaginations, but i'm not sure it would work on a game, especialy eso.

But they have clearly have more people in development than Bioware, in SWTOR an story update literally costs 5-6 months and cutscenes and story max 15mins long.

I wanted SWTOR be bigger and better since they have the biggest and better voice actors than in any mmo game out there, BioWare known for hiring best talented voice actors and that girl in the youtube video who voices Isobel also voices a companion in SWTOR called "Kira" in Jedi Knight class storyline.

so it is clear as day ESO have more people in studio in my opinion than austin bioware studio, there is literally one people fixing bugs alone in bioware.

Agreed. Companions are pretty obnoxious in most regards. A mute button for them would be a good QOL upgrade IMO.

Yes, but quality is more important than quantity when it comes to devs. It seems like about 3 years in ZOS fired their quality devs and replaced them with cheaper, less experienced devs, and that has hurt the game quality quite substantially on many levels.

No, not in game. I think such things are best left to the imagination of individual players.

Why? Can you specify your reason? Video games meant for people who dislike real life in some levels and throw away their real life stress by having fun and seeing things that isn't available in real life. Most people play games to escape from real life stress and hardship.

We cannot have everything in our minds, sometimes they have to become reality to live a little in a good morale.

I pay monthly fee for plus membership for a video game? I do things in real life that consumes my time and seeing things that damages my morale so I play games to have fun and restore my morale of things. When I see my beautiful character in a game that makes me happier because I'm a low life pleb who cannot get a decent computer due to things that isnt even in my control? so I search for nice things in fantasy world at least? That is a bad thing?

Imagination have its limits, that limits are very real and strict, sometimes we have to enjoy life at least in video games.

I'd like it if they added romance options to the Companions... but I'd also like it if they'd revisit previous Companions and add a bit more dialogue and update/improve their skills as well. It was great when they added it to Skyrim, and after all, the devs consider ESO to be "Skyrim with friends"... so... it should be a thing here as well. However, they also need to add more MALE Companions to even things out- three females and single male is not good for romance 'options' at this point in time.

I would also like more customization options with Companions. It gets difficult to role play in an RPG when you can only give them limited customization options- adding a helmet, Major/Minor adornments, etc... would go a long way to improving Companion usage for many people.

I mean an AI that can generate its own conversation on the fly.

With limited, scripted dialogues, I can't see how it could be satisfying in any way.

I've no idea what is meant by "open world elements" or "free roam PvE", but so far as romancing with NPCs is concerned I'd say no, it's not what gaming should be about. However, I suspect that if ZOS put "cyber sex emotes" at a high price in the Crown Store they would be a best seller - which I find rather a depressing thought!

But don't a lot of players insist that it's the other way round? It's not the character that earns an achievement, it's the player - why would this be any different  ?

Yes I definitely want the ability to romance companions. I love games that allow that possibility even if I don't always use it. It's just another layer of rp and allows you to get more immersed in the world. Why wouldn't some of my characters fall in love?

Now what those romances would look like if ZOS decided to implement them is a different question. SWTOR has a completely different companion and dialogue system, so they have more space to play with "proper" romances. Elder Scrolls on the other hand has the history of Skyrim type romance, which is basically "-Me marry you, yes?" "-Yes. Here, me make food, take food."

And seeing how companions and their personalities work right now, I wouldn't expect much more than that. Will players be happy with it? Hard to tell, but I personally think even a few lines acknowledging the characters' relationship would be nice. We can imagine the rest.
