I'm on the PC/NA server. Why is my character locked? I was in Auridon doing the Jester's quest for tickets. Performance was bad because the zone was loaded with other characters, then got booted from server. Now I can't log in. Can someone at ZOS please unlock it?

    You need to post your ticket number if you want Admin to look into its progress.

    how do characters even get locked anyway? i've been playing for 3 years and i've never heard of such a thing

    The same thing happened to me today.

    My Battleground ended and as I went to leave, it booted me to Character Select and told me that specific character was now 'Locked' due to Error: 326. That was about 3 hours ago now and still no dice.

    Ticket submitted and all that, but it sure is odd.

    This just happened to a friend of mine as well.
    This isn't acceptable.

    Now the error code has effected every single one of my friends toons.
    We just convinced him to come back to the game. Are you kidding me ZOS.

    Here is more info about your problem:

    "There may be rare instances where you could get booted from the game with Error 326 and unable to log back into that character. If you run into this issue, please submit a ticket at account.elderscrollsonline.com."

    i got an email response yesterday evening, which i saw this morning. they wanted me to run the 'game consultant' (never done that before) which spit out a text file/log report. i sent it to them. that was 2 hrs ago. i'm about to log in to see if anything changed.

    it's stupidly ridiculous and ridiculously stupid. i just deleted the character, as it was brand new to begin with. please zos...explain why it takes more than 5 minutes to unlock a locked character

    My current main just got locked too, game booted me after a 20 mins load screen trying to port to Murkmire. Made a ticket,

    220403-002530

    Was going to buy High Isle today but it's getting very difficult to justify going forward with ZOS financially.
    Longtimer since beta, the usual. 26 CP toons. ~1700cp on main account, 1000cp on 2nd account. Endgame-ish lol. Most Vets / some HM's cleared.

    I think it should be noted this problem started occurring pervasively after yesterday's maintenance. Something was done during that maintenance that has introduced this bug for an awful lot of players.

    I think it should be noted this problem started occurring pervasively after yesterday's maintenance. Something was done during that maintenance that has introduced this bug for an awful lot of players.

    This happened to one person in our guild Saturday night. He had it unlocked the next day. It happened to me Sunday late morning. Still waiting. Happened to two more guild members last night. Don’t know the status yet. All instances happened while playing in Cyrodiil.

    Just check my character now. It's been unlocked. One of my guildies received a letter saying that his had been unlocked, too.

    Yeah, mine became locked Saturday night and after submitting a ticket it was resolved Sunday morning. But others who hit the bug earlier than me are still waiting. There is no rhyme or reason to it at all.

    I'm more concerned that they're simply unlocking the characters rather than investigating the cause of mass character locking and attempting to prevent it in the first place. It'd be good to have some communication to indicate they're seriously looking at this on a system-wide basis.
