What dps class do you find the most boring?

For me nightblade.
yes i know people are thinking...whaa?
Nightblade is boring to me because every skill is visually just red...
There is no purples, blues, pink...just constant red.
The aoes are... Lackluster at least for stam.
Plus visually class morphs A and B are usually the same.

I would complain about some skills being simple...but hey at least nightblades have a spammable, stam sorces have a low budget elemental/crushing weapon that most people don't enjoy using.

What class is the most boring to you? Why?

Templar - no they are yellow, white, green and beautiful! And also hurt the eyes.

Warden - There's greens, blues, bright blues, bluish greens, many other colors on the flowers, plus bear is gray or brown.

Dragon knight - has one or two poison abilities? Maybe just one, but you are kinda right. Still fire is less boring than just red.

Necro - blues, dark blues, greens, bright blues (ice), greenish blues, plus 3 dif types of monsters.

Sorcerer - has pets, but yes abilities tend to be purple or blue and white (electricity)

    Nightblade is just red...

Agreed. I also main a Warden and I got burned out with that ability. Rocking a frost build now and doing just fine without it.

Edit: I ultimately went with Nightblade as my most boring. Although I have been having some fun with a Vampire NB, it's also a very niche build. Of all the classes I've played, NB has the least going for me.

    I main a NightBlade.

Honestly, there isn't as much variety to their kit as there used to be. Visuals and flavor aside, NightBlade abilities usually come down to "do this thing a bit stronger than most classes" or "deal damage to gain life", the former being not particularly useful in the meta and the latter being actively detrimental compared to healing without needing to damage enemies.

It would be much more useful to have some variety in the NightBlade's arsenal, specifically that isn't also done by a general ability better (I'm looking at you, AOE fear effects), in my opinion. This would A. make it interesting to play a NightBlade over, say, a Templar that has more versatility, and B. actually useful to use a NightBlade's abilities over the general abilities everyone has access to.

Necro, simply because it does not have pets that last. I like the idea of summoning zombies and skeletons that keep the enemies occupied, ESO nerco is just not what I expected. I got one, but he is relegated to a crafter atm.

Even the sorcerer has summons that are constant, the necro, not so much.

Nightblade... I have tried it so many times. I've tried it as a healer, dps and even a tanky build and they're all meh. The skills are all lackluster, I might as well forgo the class skills and just use weapon/guild skills.

Templar would be my second least-fav even though I have one at 50. It's like if you're not using the jab spell you're not playing the class right. All the other spells seem to be wonky if you use them with any weapon except staff.

This is the problem when you use the limited skill bar gimick that Guild Wars started, less variety more homogeny; of course the other end of the spectrum is too much variety *looked pointedly at FF14* and you end up with sensory overload.

I think I have to agree with that. I dont like the channel spams.

Honestly, I think its a bad design choice. Templar is billed as one of the easiest DPS classes in the game, and in many ways it is because its mostly a jab spam. That said, the way the skill weaves is essentially unique (sorc frag spam or rapid strikes is is probably the closest from a timing standpoint), so i think breaking away from that can be a rough transition for a lot of players.

ESO would be a drastically better experience if they added 1-2 new skill trees to each class. Warden gaining more ice abilities. Sorcs gaining more wind abilities. Templar getting more stuff to attack enemies without spamming jabs.

I choose Templar because it’s all about spamming jabs. Totally fine for that to be a playstyle but there needs to be other playstyles..... hence an example for why we need more skill lines.

Out of the ones I've played, nightblade. I just don't get that class.

I love wardens (variety). I've never used the cliff racer spammable skill all that much. Once it was levelled, I shelved it. I also like templars, even though jabs can get old.

Boring is a subjective term. With that being said:

Magicka templars feel boring because the entire rotation is reapplying 10 second AoEs and maybe a 2 or 3 sweeps. So it’s blazing shards + mystic orb + explosive WoE + solar barrage + trap + rune (every other rotation). Now your left with 4 seconds to sweep and/or whatever else on your front bar.

    Stamina templars is just jabs.

Templar boring rota even without jabs. With jabs it is by far superior boring rota.
Warden boring visual, i just don't like druid-looking animations. Too obtrusive.

NBs animations for long-term use may be the best, cuz there is almost no animation at all other than cool glowing weapon, especially gorgeous with bow.

For me templar is the most boring because of the weight on jabs in the rotation, and I hate channeled abilities.

Templar being colorful just because of POTL has got to be a joke

I don't give a vote for my preferences are not limited to one class.

My main is a magplar, and has always been. That said, it's a very boring class to play, for the reason many say above. The results, though, are optimal: if you want something done swift, go templar.

Sorc I cannot abide, and warden I use as healer with full satisfaction. I'm a pure PVEr; blade I find overly complicated and not really fun (my personal opinion, OFC).

DK and necro are fun, versatile and efficient. Currently I play only on these classes for solo dd.

    Nightblade
Nightblade has never been a fit for me, although I don't really have a specific reason. I have tried lots of different builds and I always struggle with them. I don't know if "boring" is the right term, but they are boring from the perspective that I am never successful with them.

I love templars so much but I definitely see what people are saying about the DPS piece. I find them as a class to be the most versatile. As a healer I can bring more DPS, or be more tanky, without leveraging the armory, in a way I just haven't been able to do with any other class. However there was a time when I tried to go pure DPS. It was the time when elemental weapon was BIS and it was so horrible and boring I had to abandon it. I just hated it. So, from that perspective I'm glad we're back to jabs/sweeps being what you should use, because at least it's an ability specific to the class. I personally get a lot of satisfaction from using that ability but it may be because I'm not dedicated to DPS most of the time.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.
