I'm glad Ember isn't cute or adorable

A lot of Khajiits in the game have that cutesy or adorable face with large round eyes and perky snouts, not Ember. That triangular face is kind of rare to see with stern eyes, uncommon fur pattern, and a grim thin lips is a nice change of pace from the usual. Definitely someone you want to leave your kids to babysit, they'll either be too scared to poo or already poo'd their pants when meeting with her! Also her class is already confirmed in the flavor text on the advert page.

"Recruit two brave new companions—Ember the Khajiit sorcerer and Isobel Velois the Breton knight—to accompany you on your adventures in the Systres Archipelago and beyond."

I have zero desire for Ember as a companion if she's going to look like that, I got spoiled with how good Khamira looked.

I could accept a Cathay, but not Ember.

I actually like Ember's looks. I don't use companions (and won't in future), but I'm working on "reconfiguring" one of my many Khajiit to look as much like Ember as possible. She reminds me of one of my RL kitties from many many years back now.

Ember does look great. It's nice to see some variety in their Khajiit and she looks totally dangerous and mysterious.

Oh, actually.... I would KILL for Sereyne as a companion. Yep. That would be the only one I'd ever use.

I loved Khamira but I like how Ember looks too!

Mostly I would love for all of the companions to have some more variety in what they say and also some tuning of the triggers. The characters matter most to me — so long as their appearance suits them, it is good.

I love Ember's coloring. I wish her eyes weren't quite so squinty, but perhaps that goes with her personality. These companions are really the main reason I'll be buying this expansion.

I really, really hope Ember's black and white skin will be available for players. I've been wanting more realistic kitty skins for a while now. Seems like every skin they release is some bizarre, weird glowy thing.

I'm surprised by how many players are willing to write off companions entirely just for their appearance. There's so much more to these NPCs than how they look.

That said, it definitely suggests that ZOS might do well by releasing companion skins in the crown store to alter their appearances slightly. SWTOR had this feature and it was received really well. It doesn't change their appearances so much that you can't recognize them anymore, but rather adds variations to their visual theme for the sake of variety. So for example, new hairstyles, makeup, headgear/adornments for companions could work well in ESO.

I honestly do not like big eyes and round faces in Khajiit and yes this angular face of this companion is a very good addition. I was expecting a male Khajiit companion but as long as we get a Khajiit it is fine i guess.

Ember is pretty! I don't use companions outside of unlocking them as houseguests, so she'll be a nice addition.

That would probably be a logistics nightmare though, since Companions become unlockable as Houseguests once you get them either fully leveled or full rapport, I can't remember which. If you suddenly have the same entity but as different assets and all...I can imagine how much that might break stuff. Unless they made it so you could only have one 'version' of her in any housing instance.

This one would very much like the option to change her hair or let her wear a hood or a hat.

It will be interesting the first Caturday after the chapter launches when Claws Claws will be out and about with Ember and five more of her quite identical siblings.
