Also, I have no problems with my WW line, or it's effectiveness in combat. I can slaughter larger groups that I would normally have difficulty with In Human form.
There must be a difference in our stats then. I can effectively take out multiple numbers of mobs at higher levels than me with no problem in human form, but as soon as I use WW, I just end up getting slaughtered.
Are the werewolf / vampire spawn places fixed, or random?
If fixed, then this indeed is a problem that needs to be fixed. They are already taking action against dungeon boss farming, this is, basically, same tihng. Bots can be used in both things.
but if the locations are random, its not a problem at all.
I know my wife and I thoroughly disagree with this practice and both plan to take a side (her werewolf, me vampire) and get infect then pass it on as much as possible for free. If many others committed to this practice, the whole overpriced biting thing would end quickly.

What actions are they taking with the dungeon boss farming? Last I heard from a ZOE employee, it was legal to do.

I found a werewolf spawn completely by accident, never had a desire to be one or a vamp myself. Some people came running up trying for their bite. Along with them came a group of people who immediately attacked the spawn, then began to proclaim that now anyone that needed a bite would have to pay. They also had plenty of injected taunting of everyone who was needless to say upset. Same people began to camp the site and tell everyone who came by to forget it they were killing the spawns.
So I came back to the site the next spawn, guess what, same thing.
If people don't see this as an issue and an attempt to control a spawn for profit, then they have some serious issues themselves.
If you think its ok to just do this and then be a braggart to taunt other players, then your really worthless, and should probable come to terms with the fact you have a tiny wee wee and that just because you think your a big man in a video game, your still just a pretty sad example of someone who needs to get out once and a while, oh, and you cant compensate your tiny wee wee by being a jerk in a video game.
Its still a tiny wee wee.
Link please, because the only one I saw a couple of weeks ago did NOT say any of that.DragonMother wrote: »If the farming is getting out of hand and people are still trying to "sell" their bites, check the forums for "Free Bites". I know there is a couple threads open to help encourage free-biters to sign up or make a list of contacts to be reached for bites.
HOWEVER, ZOS made it very clear that camping these spawns IS against the COC, and if the players persist to continue camping them, they can be banned, and actioned against their account for inhibiting gameplay for others.

i don't particularly care honestly, just wondering if any of the normal mobs would work, or if only certain ones will effect you.

Nobody has been banned for farming WW / Vamp mobs. They have made statements saying they see no problem in it.

I got the infection today in the very last minute before maintenance because some very nice player grouped with me and showed me where the fiends were. There were no people slaughtering them. So it is still possible because there are many more spawnpoints than the well know that are camped by many people wanting to become a vampire/werewolf every night.
I still think, killing the spawns just to sell bites is not ok. There will always be 'lazy' people or people who want to spend their time differently than running from spawnpoint to spawnpoint that will buy bites and that's totally legit, but taking the option for players away to chose the traditional way is just not fair gameplay. The spawns are already very rare and it takes a lot of patience. That should be enough for keeping your price up.
To those who want to get infected by a spawn: don't be discouraged! it is still perfectly possible to either meet someone awesome like I did today, or be lucky and stumble across a spawn that has not been killed yourself. It will just take time and patience. And I will also give my bite away once I get the ability.
There was a post listed in Dev Tracker when this was first raised a couple of weeks or more ago that said they didn't consider it a problem. Moreover, a follow-up blithely told players "go find the other spawns", that's what they said!

You're confusing the boss farming and vamp/ww spawn killing. There have been a few ZOE posts stating quite clearly that killing these mobs off for the sake of either making it where others cannot complete the quest, or forcing them to pay for the bites is against the games code of conduct. Not once have I seen the Zeni crew come out and say there was no problem in killing the mobs. I even remember someone trying to defend it calling it role playing, but the ZOE staff told them there is a limit, and if it impedes on someone else completing the quest, it was not allowed.

We'd also like to remind you that there are multiple spawn points to get bit. Of course, we're not going to tell you where they are exactly. You'll have to explore to find them!
I just had a thought about having a guild dedicated to the free spread of both vampirism and lycanthropy. I don't know how interest people will be but it was something I figured I would try.
