Anything Planned for 10th Anniversary of Skyrim on 11/11?

As many ESO fans know, November 11th marks the 10th Anniversary since the release of Skyrim. Bethesda is already planning a big day for the fans with streams, music, etc.:

https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/skyrim10

I'm wondering if ZOS is planning anything for the event? Many of us Skyrim fans only came over to ESO because of the ties to the Elder Scrolls series so it would be a shame to ignore it.

Thought about this earlier too. I’m expecting Skyrim themed crown store items and Greymoor, Markarth and Horns of the Reach discounts

When I bought the Skyrim Special Edition for the PlayStation 4 I got a code for a Dragon Warrior Costume and a Yokudan Charger Mount. Will there be anything like this be made available for buying this game again?

Has it really been 10 years? Time sure does fly....o.o.

There hasn't been any information released about anything special happening, one can always hope something will happen.

Skyrim was probably one of Bethesda's most successful and famous games. The game just keeps stealing the spotlight. B):p

That is probably a question for the Bethesda forums as I do not think this subsidiary managed by Matt Firor handles Skyrim.

If they add a skyrim event to ESO even on the same week, it could indirectly affect sales of the anniversary edition. They would want the opening week to show as many purchases as possible, best not to do anything to draw buyers away from it.

Not used them for so long, but are the Bethesda forums still a thing? Thought i read somewhere they were in the process of being removed. Aye, i probably picked it up wrong.

EDIT: Just checked. There are no longer any Bethesda forums. So it's a fair question.

It would be cool to have an ESO/Skyrim 10 years anniversary event, but that's just me and my delight for events

    ps
Haven't played it yet, but since it's on my Steam account, I might have to try it for anniversary's sake -if the old hag allows it, that is.

You didn’t look hard enough as they moved their forums to discord. They will have the answer as Skyrim is not part of the Zos portfolio.

And they seem to be updating the compiler for the 64 bit version as an anniversary edition of what I just glanced at is correct.

For the reason you stated, the anniversary will not be ignored but it will not be overly celebrated. I mean, the Elder Scrolls has a LONG history of many games. Almost every year is the anniversary of some game release or event in time. I would imagine (as previously stated) a crown sale of Nord/Greymoore stuff and a post on the website. Nothing like an event or anything major.

Definitely not a Rich wearing pants event. :D ...but I am sure it will be acknowledged if for no other reason than to join in with the celebration and steal some free marketing for your own game.

I'm planning to get the re-re-re-release as an upgrade to the re-re-release. I'm not sure how much I'll be playing it, since there's not much that can tear me away from ESO, but I'll definitely be playing it. :)

Some sort of Skyrim-themed event could be fun, even if it's as simple as increased resource drops and (maybe) double daily reward coffers in all of the Skyrim zones-- the Rift, Eastmarch, Western Skyrim, the Reach, and Blackreach. It might be a bit much to have a full-blown 1.75-week-long event with event tickets and the Impresario, but 11/11 will be a Thursday, so maybe they could do a weekend-long celebration stretching from Thursday at 10 AM ET to Monday at 10 AM ET, with Twitch drops enabled for the weekend?

Yeah, like everyone even uses discord. [snip] Discord is not like fleeting from one website to another. It's a separate app. So why would i have looked harder when discord didn't even cross my mind at all?

Personally, I love Oblivion, and have many fond memories of playing it for hours on end. But apparently some people love to diss Oblivion for one reason or another. I guess the number of people still buying and playing Oblivion is far less than the number of people still buying and playing Skyrim, and there's no Creation Club integrated into Oblivion as there is in Skyrim.

Anyway, this year's ESO content plays loving homage to Oblivion, so even if Bethesda didn't make a re-release of Oblivion this year, ZOS still celebrated its 15th anniversary in their own way.

Maybe something Iconic from Skyrim for free on the Crown Store? I would say the Dragon Warrior Costume but I imagine heaps of players have that already so maybe something like IDK maybe a big statue of Alduin to place in your house?

I found out they were using discord by using the internet to do a great search for Bethesda forums. We all use the internet.

Doing an internet search is also how I found out what they are doing for the anniversary.

Actually I just started playing Skyrim (Special Edition) again just for the heck of it and it's still a great game. There is SO much user created content out there for it now that really extends the game far beyond what was originally created. One of the smartest things that Bethesda did was to allow and encourage mods with their Creation Kit. I would hope that if at some point ESO shuts down their servers they decide to release tools to also keep this game alive. It would be fun to see what kind of content the users would come up with :)

To celebrate the anniversary of Skyrim you are expected to buy another edition of Skyrim. That's the main plan. ZOS gladly allows us to do this and tries to not prevent us from doing it.
