They should bring out the 'Ebony Warrior' in ESO as an easter egg (Hardest NPC in Skyrim supposedly)
The Ebony Warrior is a quest available after reaching level 80 with The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn installed in which the Dragonborn must defeat the Ebony Warrior who seeks a worthy challenge and wished to finally go to Sovngarde.

I have no wishes for a Skyrim anniversary, the entire last year felt like a kind of Skyrim-memory (although I liked the 2020 chapter). I was hoping for some nostalgia for the oblivion gates, but that hope was in vain.

As many ESO fans know, November 11th marks the 10th Anniversary since the release of Skyrim.
I'm wondering if ZOS is planning anything for the event?

If it helps, France has declared a public holiday.

    Favourite NPC: Wine-For-All
Mostly PC-EU , with a lonely little guy on NA.

Oblivion's 15th Anniversary wasn't worth celibrating of some reason. Wonder if Morrowind will be next year.

    The celebration was called “Blackwood”.

In that case Skyrim already has had its celibration as well.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Most likely there will be nothing as they would have mentioned something by now.

In the unlikely case they would go with a complete surprise move, adding the rest of Skyrim into ESO would be nice.

That is probably a question for the Bethesda forums as I do not think this subsidiary managed by Matt Firor handles Skyrim.

Not used them for so long, but are the Bethesda forums still a thing? Thought i read somewhere they were in the process of being removed. Aye, i probably picked it up wrong.

EDIT: Just checked. There are no longer any Bethesda forums. So it's a fair question.

You didn’t look hard enough as they moved their forums to discord. They will have the answer as Skyrim is not part of the Zos portfolio.

And they seem to be updating the compiler for the 64 bit version as an anniversary edition of what I just glanced at is correct.

Yeah, like everyone even uses discord. [snip] Discord is not like fleeting from one website to another. It's a separate app. So why would i have looked harder when discord didn't even cross my mind at all?

I found out they were using discord by using the internet to do a great search for Bethesda forums. We all use the internet.

Doing an internet search is also how I found out what they are doing for the anniversary.

    [edited to remove quote]

The problem with what you are saying is that Discord is not a "forum", its just Discord. It's an app all by itself that is used to shout and argue. It isnt a game forum, thus.....not "where the Bethesda forums are." They dont have forums anymore....

Personally, I love Oblivion, and have many fond memories of playing it for hours on end. But apparently some people love to diss Oblivion for one reason or another. I guess the number of people still buying and playing Oblivion is far less than the number of people still buying and playing Skyrim, and there's no Creation Club integrated into Oblivion as there is in Skyrim.

Anyway, this year's ESO content plays loving homage to Oblivion, so even if Bethesda didn't make a re-release of Oblivion this year, ZOS still celebrated its 15th anniversary in their own way.

Oblivion is still my favorite TES game. I admit that Morrowind was way more creative, but... I prefer the more traditional fantasy world of Oblivion over the alien weirdness of Morrowind, but can understand why many rank that at the top. I had to stop playing Oblivion at the start of 2020, since my build evolved to the point that my rig simply couldn't handle it without crashing every 5 minutes or so.

Well, couple of months ago, I finally got around to getting a brand new PC, and got myself a beefy R9 with a spiffy high end mother board with two 1 tera m2 drives (one for OS and other programs, and the other for games) and more memory than I know what to do with, and a solid new graphic card (finding one for a sensible price was the toughest part in the whole ordeal, and the reason my otherwise cool new machine stood unused for nearly two months) I finally have a machine that can actually run Oblivion the way I want. That is, with about 500 mods merged and condensed and bashed into a more less coherent whole, along with about 60 gigs of "graphic improvements." - My Oblivion Install takes about 70gb of disk-space. Vanilla is like, what... 5gb or there abouts.

With the 4gb patch, and the memory management provided by Oblivion Reloaded (that also by-passes and supplants the old rendering system of Oblivion), I can run VWD, high rez textures, all the graphical goodies provided by OR (Like godrays, and ambient occlusion and snow accumulation along with dynamic shadows and more!), and the bloody thing still runs more stable on my new monster machine than what it used used to in plain old vanilla on my old rig. And not like that was a slough as a machine either. It still ran new releases from 2019 and 2020 just fine. It just wasn't enough for Oblivion. Anyway, it only took 15 years for PCs to improve to the point that playing Oblivion is possible. Yay!

As for the new version of Skyrim - I'll buy it. At some point. I never bought any of those CC things before, and got my Special edition for free. I've only bought Skyrim once so far -and got the DLCs on sale - so I don't mind buying it now for a second time. Besides, some of those creations do look worth incorporating to the build I've been planning for my next play-through. And getting them all bundled with the new version makes the price on those things reasonable. No way I was gonna pay the individual price for each of them. That was frigging highway robbery.

There are still fair number of stellar mods for Skyrim I wanna play through, and maybe this Anniversary edition will finally get me motivated to setting up a proper build for Skyrim. The sort I've set up for Oblivion. But am in no hurry to get it done, since I finally can play Oblivion again, and in fact that's what I've been doing this past week. Not even sure when I last logged on ESO. Tuesday? Or was it Wednesday? I did think about doing some PVP over the weekend, but then came to my senses, when I recalled what a horrid experience it is these days, and went back to playing Oblivion. I guess I should log on tomorrow and re-stock my guild store at least, but for now, Oblivion is it for me.

10 years already, way to make me feel old.

Oddly enough I feel like it was more like 20 years ago.

Fun Fact: Bethesda didn't do a single thing for Oblivion's 15th anniversary OR Daggerfalls 25th anniversary, which were both this year. I doubt they will do anything for Morrowind's upcoming 20th anniversary or for Arena. Maybe even nothing for ESO. I hate the fact that they are rereleasing Skyrim again, which they did like 10 times, because it makes the most money. At least give each game like equal treatment, not giving Skyrim all of the love because it makes the most money besides maybe ESO. Skyrim is a mediocre game compared to Oblivion or Morrowind, but a great game when not compared to its predecessors. (I'm not saying this because I started with Oblivion or Morrowind. I started with Skyrim, and learned that literally everything from Morrowind and Oblivion was gutted.) So please do something for Oblivion's upcoming 20th and Morrowind's upcoming 25th, though most likely they will rerelease "Skyrim 15th Anniversary Edition".

And yes, I know that "Morrowind and Oblivion content" is in Skyrim Anniversary Edition. And yet, most creations weren't created by Bethesda and break lore. Like, how come literally every random artifact from Morrowind appeared in Skyrim at the same time, and not, say, Cyrodiil due to its central location, or Black Marsh because Argonians invaded Morrowind? Why is Pelinal's armor worn by thugs without upstanding morals? And such as that. Anyway, at least make Skyblivion or Skywind actual games, because those people's dedication are astounding.

@Saxhleel, it's probably due to Skyrim being the most recent game in the main series, making it the one that people are most likely to still be interested in playing.

Personally, I'd love to see them spiffy up and re-release Oblivion and Morrowind, and even Daggerfall and Arena, but I doubt that that will ever happen.
