That's apples and something that isn't remotely like an apple.

There really is no pleasing this community. Daily login rewards are always criticized, events aren't frequent enough, its always something. And now, they can't even basically give out free content without people being up in arms about it being obtainable to people who already purchased Blackwood. Maybe just be happy for other people, it effects people other than you, people less fortunate than you, the community is not a community of one. We all make up the community.
the sub ppl dont have a prob with community, they are big part of,just want equal treatment
how gifting something i already have is a gift?

That said, I am also disappointed that the mystery reward is something that doesn't benefit me at all. I was looking forward to a cool bonus reward, and finding out that it's just something I already have is a let down after all the hype.

Put it this way. For those with ESO+ there is zero incentive in the reward. Their subscription was to afford them access to all DLCs and the craft bag. A 12 month subscription amounts to 2 zones (the fall zone and the previous year chapter) plus the craft bag.
For 12 month subscription holders you’re effectively just taking away the value of one large item while the price doesn’t change. Arguably they’re wasting their money. The same for 3 month subscription holders.
1 month holders and non subscribers get the greatest value.
A house the reward is fantastic and of equal value for all players. Offering the DLC for free amounts to a waste of money for subscribers. See those who bought Imperial City and felt similarly miffed when it was given away for free to all players years later.
The crowns you could buy the DLC for are less than 10% of what you get for a year's worth of subbing...
You also have 2 dungeon DLCs which are causally not mentioned at all...
You also get Crown Store discounts, 10% extra XP, and the craft bag...
At least talk about everything you get instead of omitting so much of it to "prove your point"... I loathe disingenuous arguments like that.
This is a literal drop in the bucket of the total value you get from subbing...
We can have differing opinions of the validity of what they're doing... as to whether they should or not... but they're not taking away anything from me. I, as a subscriber, LOSE NOTHING, and some other people get something. Personally, I'm okay with that, same as I am in the real world when those less fortunate get something, even if I would have benefited from it prior (such as my student loans statement earlier).

Agreed. I guess I'm surprised that ZOS doesn't seem to value subscribers as much as I thought it did. My bad.

So yes, I and others feel like we shelled out cash upfront and later got shafted on what we expected of our investment. When Zenimax switched over from a mandatory subscription model to F2P ask the players that paid if they similarly felt shafted and at least they were rewarded with unique pets and costumes that have NEVER been given out again.

Crowns I get from my subscription can be spent at any time. I could wait until a DLC goes on sale to maximize their purchasing power.
When I and others subscribed to ESO+ it was for two reasons: the craft bag and unlimited access to ALL DLCs including the most recent one. The other benefits are nice but they pale in comparison. And I’m technically paying for the crowns so that if I cancel my membership I can still purchase a DLC to play without.
The most loyal players buy the newest chapter each year within the 3 months of its introduction. This means that for long term players their ESO+ really is only for 3 DLCs and a craft bag. Now this event makes it 2 DLCs and a craft bag.

But now you may have (if all goes well) moved up from being a dlc renter to an official dlc owner! And you can maximize your crowns for other sales and never have to worry about ever having to buy this dlc on sale or not. Congrats!
I buy the chapters and zone dlcs, never been a sub (got Murkmire for free as a login reward). And didn't the announcement say you only get the rewards if you own the Blackwod chapter?huntgod_ESO wrote: »So ideally when giving people something, you want them to be able to utilize it and be thankful for it. "Hey thanks to everyone who participated to unlock this prize, we are now going to give access to it to all the folks who didn't participate."
If they really wanted to do this & make everyone happy eso+ members should get the collectors free while others just get the dlc. Way it is now is just another point of contention & really disincentives players from doing the sub 2hich let's be honest hasnt been great for a long time & if it wasnt for craft bag I'd bet almost everyone would stop sub

That could be very unfair. Say someone has subbed for years but has a 1 day lapse and misses out while someone else just happens to be trying a sub out for a month and never subs again. Best to just give the collectors dlc to all as an even better reward if we do really really well in whatever unlocks it.

Over time, I just realized that they just constantly shift the goal posts for where you feel relevant, where you feel you have an impact, and where you feel they listen and they respond. This year, seeing the live testing of no proc Cyrodiil was a big wake up call for a lot of people for just how toyed with the community is, how effective the PTS is, what role we actually play, and how much they really listen. That's just one example, but hopefully you see my point. I think they really are just doing what they did with Murkmire, and I would almost bet that in that box is a house.

Its perfectly fair everyone has ability when their sub is going to renew if you dont that's on you
Well, as an ESO+ subscriber at least this means I don’t have to waste time trying to get the pathfinder achievement on all my toons. Thanks for saving me some time ZOS, I guess?
🤷🏻♂️

I don't feel "kicked in the teeth" but "disappointed" is reasonable. Some won't even allow that. We have to be EXCITED for anything that is done!
Not very realistic.

I won't be playing if I am not a sub, just the bag space makes it worthwhile for me. And ALL the DLCs.
I can't see playing without ESO+ myself, so this is definitely not the "big deal" they make it out to be. Perhaps some will love it, but I would wonder even about that. Certainly some here will benefit, but how much of the playerbase will benefit?
Though I do wonder how they will get 100% if they count ALL players. What about those who have just quit playing, even if they are subbed? I am wasting my PS4 sub right now since I am not playing there. I may try to get on and earn the Pathfinder achievement at least once to help, but I may not. Does that mean everyone on the PS4 (both NA and EU) will not get the not so grand "grand prize" if I do not?
I am still irked at losing all my PS4 stuff (mounts, Crowns, housing) by moving to the PC. So a misleading "great deal" is annoying.

No.
It's 100% of an arbitrary threshold that only ZoS knows.
We'll hit it regardless of the community involvement. Think of the marketing fiasco they'd have if they didn't.
They are essentially just giving everybody the free DLC if they own Blackwood.
