Duels: PVP belongs in it's own area, out of the way for the majority who don't PVP. Yes I assert with no facts PVPers are a minority, they are in most other MMOs and given the profile of many players of this game I see no reason to think it's different here.Earthmaster wrote: »There are simple fixes that MUST be implemented.
- Implement duels. Duels are fun, great way to pass the time and train you skills and try out builds with your friends.
- Add names above players heads. And dont give me crap about immersion if MMO haters dont want it make an option for them to remove it. but I WANNA SEE WHO IS NEXT TO ME.
- Implement the freaking chat bubbles already....

If they implement Duel system then I expect to keep it in some kind of specialized arenas. I really don't want to see people dueling all over the place in the cities or in questing zones. It always bothered me in other mmos and ruin immersion for me and most likely for others.
As for nameplates, don't see a need for that at all, Same goes for chat bubbles. Have never used those in other mmos. I actually always turn those features off if by default those are on. I hate GUI clutter on screen.

You guys are seriously so narrow minded when it comes to anything you don't like it's disgusting. It'll ruin the lore, it'll ruin my game, it'll ruin our lives blah, blah, blah, get over yourselves. Make some sacrifices so that everyone can have an enjoyable time. I can only imagine just how close minded you people are about serious issues if you have such a distaste for something so petty!

The biggest mistake ESO have made is the Veteran Ranks in my opinion. It's not good for Lore and story and it also means that for alts you will HAVE to repeat quests. Something I personally can't stand. Which is why it is important to make it so you can level reasonably quickly while PVPing.
I am always repeating quests, I skip through the dialogue. I have several alts in DC and AD, only 1 alt in EP so veteran ranks doesn't bother me at all. It's the use of abilities and how skillful I get at them.
And, I love SWTOR. It's a great story mmorpg. You just need a bit of time away before you go back. WOW clone, maybe, honestly, I'd rather quest givers speak to me then reading it on the screen. That is total immersion breaking for me.
When I walk across the street I have to ask people for their name. We should all be required to at least walk with a nameplate ;-)Not having names above people's heads is absurd, IMO.

(source)Perhaps the biggest hurdle ESO has to get over has nothing to do with its content or design, but in getting the average MMO player out of “Play it like WoW” mode. After years of conditioning, that’s a tall task, and an interesting development to watch.
